Introduction
Service entrance barrier installation instructions for use with:
- Homeline loadcenters, Series S0_, (50–125 A) QOM1 main circuit breaker.
- QO loadcenters, Series S0_, (50–125 A) QOM1 main circuit breaker.

Precautions
DANGER
HAZARD OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, OR ARC FLASH
- Apply appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe electrical work practices. See NFPA 70E, NOM-029-STPS-2011, or CSA Z462 or local equivalent.
- This equipment must only be installed and serviced by qualified electrical personnel.
- Turn off all power supplying this equipment before working on or inside equipment.
- Always use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm power is off.
- Replace all devices, doors, and covers before turning on power to this equipment.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.
Installation
- Turn off all power to the equipment where this service entrance barrier will be installed.
- After the service entrance conductors have been properly installed, press the left service entrance barrier (NVE35883) simultaneously onto the line wire and main base phase barrier until fully seated. See Figure 1.
- Repeat step 2 for the right service entrance barrier (NVE35877). See Figure 1.
NOTE: The service entrance barrier does not allow the loadcenter to be serviced while energized. Always turn off all power to the loadcenter prior to any service.
NOTE: Remove barriers from connecting strap.
