BATTERY REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
Base Unit (Transmitter)
- Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of Base Unit.
- Carefully, remove the battery cover.
- Carefully, load 2 AAA batteries (not included).
- Replace battery cover.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Hand wash probe gently with soap and wa
- DO NOT immerse the probe in the water while cleaning
- Dry immediately.
- DO NOT WASH Handheld Unit or Base Unit.
- NOT DISHWASHER SAFE.
TIMER INSTRUCTIONS:
Count Down Timer:
- Press MODE to select timer mode. The upper display will show a small TIMER and 0:00.
- Press HR and MIN buttons to set the timer. Press the START/STOP button to start the countdown timer. “ ▼” will blink for every second.
- To stop the countdown timer, press the START/STOP button again. The “ ▼” becomes solid.
- Press the CLEAR button to clear the setting back to 0:00.
Count Up Timer:
- Press MODE to select timer mode. The upper display will show a small TIMER and 0:00.
- Press the START/STOP button to start to count up. The “ ▲” will blink for every second.
- To stop the count timer, press the START/STOP button again. The “▲” becomes solid.
- Press the CLEAR button to clear the setting back to 0:00.
LED Flashlight Instructions:
- Press and hold the silver button on side of the Handheld Unit for flashlight illumination while the receiver switch is in the ON position.
- Release the silver button to turn it off.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
Problem: Cannot make meat selection.
Solution: Maybe in Timer Mode. Check to make sure that the Handheld Unit is in
Thermometer Mode by pressing the MODE button.
Problem: No Data Link between Handheld Unit and Base Unit.
Solution 1: Check to make sure that both units are turned ON while in close
proximity to one another.
Solution 2: Check batteries and replace if necessary.
Problem: Flashlight will not work.
Solution 1: Make sure the receiver switch is in the ON position and press the
flashlight button on the side of the Handheld Unit.
Solution 2: Check batteries for replacement.
HELPFUL HINTS:
- For best results, make sure the probe tip is inserted into the meat at least 1 inch (2.5cm).
- Do not allow the probe or probe wire to come in direct contact with flames. If cooking with the grill cover closed, only use medium and low heat.
- Make sure that the probe tip is inserted into the center of the meat (NOT poking through the meat).
CAUTION:
- Caution Meat Probe and Wire are very hot while in use.
- Always use a heat-resistant glove when handling meat probe or probe wire while in use. DO NOTtouch with bare hands.
- DO NOT expose the Handheld/Base Unit to direct heat or hot surfaces.
- NOT FOR USE IN MICROWAVE OVENS.
- DO NOT expose the Base Unit/Probe plug connector to water.
- DO NOT use a Handheld/Base Unit in the rain.
- Base Unit registers temperatures as low as 14°F and as high as 482°F. If 482°F is exceeded probe wire may deteriorate.
- This product is intended for use as a meat thermometer. NOT INTENDED FOR USE AS AN EXTERNAL OVEN THERMOMETER
- Keep Stainless Steel Probe/Wire away from Children.
USER’S MANUAL REMOTE DIGITAL THERMOMETER:
General Use Instructions (Grill or Oven):
- Locate the battery compartments and load 2 AAA batteries (not included) into both the Handheld Unit (Receiver) and Base Unit (Transmitter).
- Place Handheld Unit in the Base Unit cradle (units should be in close proximity for establishing data link).
- Place meat on the grill or in the oven.
- Insert stainless steel meat probe into the thickest part of the meat.
- Carefully, replace/close grill lid or oven door on heat-resistant braided steel probe wire.
- Plug probe wire into Base Unit.
- Turn ON the Handheld Unit and Base Unit by locating both small “ON/OFF” switches.
- The handheld Unit and Base Unit will establish data links automatically.n Registration is complete when the Handheld Unit beeps and the probe temperature appears where the “—” was fashing.
- Once the link is established, enter the type of meat (Beef, Veal, Lamb, Pork, Chicken, Turkey) by pressing the meat button on Handheld Unit until desired meat is selected.
- Once meat type is selected, set desired taste level (Rare, Medium-Rare, Medium, Well-Done) by pressing the taste button on Handheld Until until desired taste/doneness level is selected.
- To set the desired internal meat temperature manually. Press HR or MIN button to raise or lower the temperature value after meat selection is made.
- Grill or Cook until alarm sounds indicating that the desired taste/doneness level is reached. For the best results set count down/count up timer and check meat periodically (see timer instructions).
- Remove meat from grill or oven and allow to cool (approx. 5 min.) and serve.

RECEIVER BUTTON PROFILES:
- HR BUTTON: In timer mode, press to set hour, in the thermometer mode, press to increase the temperature value.
- CLEAR/F°/C°: In timer mode, when the timer counts down/count up process is stopped, press to clear the timer reading. In thermometer mode, press to select temperature readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
- MIN: In timer mode, press to set minutes. In thermometer mode, press to decrease temperature value.
- MODE: Press to select thermometer or timer mode.
- MEAT: In thermometer mode press to select meat type (BEEF, VEAL, LAMB, PORK, CHICKEN, TURKEY).
- TASTE: In thermometer mode press to select taste-doneness level (W.DONE, MEDIUM, M.RARE or RARE).
- START/STOP: Press to start or stop the timer count down or count up.
- ON/OFF: Switch on back above clip – turns the receiver on and off.
- SILVER SIDE BUTTON: Press to turn the LED light on and off while the receiver is on (LED light will not work while receiver power is off).

- Locate the battery compartment underneath Belt Clip on the back of the Handheld Unit.
- Remove Belt Clip to access the battery compartment.
- Carefully remove Battery Cover.
- Carefully load 2 AAA batteries (not included).
- Replace Battery Cover and Belt Clip
