Introduction

The WiFi temperature and humidity sensor use an integrated sensor module to monitor the temperature and humidity of the immediate area before wirelessly transmitting the data to the Internet via a WIFI connection. As their name implies, contact-type sensors work by making actual physical touch with the thing being sensed. Conductivity is used by them to detect and track temperature changes. Non-Contact Type Sensors track temperature changes by means of convection and radiation.

Features

High accuracy
Top vendors are used by the sensor. It can ensure that the measurement data is extremely precise.

Continuous observation and recording.
The sensor is powered by USB. In contrast to the battery-powered version, the sensor will continuously track the temperature and humidity. When the temperature and humidity fluctuate very little, the sensor will report that information. On the display screen or in the APP, you may see how the value has changed.
Use the visuals in the APP to display the variations in temperature and humidity.

Display on LCD
Temperature, humidity, and the display of the time and date are all displayed on the sensor’s LCD screen. The time and date are calibrated automatically.

Scene tagging
The sensor can be used as a temperature and humidity data source for Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Tuya Smart, and Smart Life. Depending on the data source, several automated processes are possible.

Switch for Temperature Unit
The sensor is built with a Celsius to Fahrenheit temperature display conversion capability. Depending on your requirements, you can select the display unit that is required.

Independent voice support
The sensor works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. By speaking, you can check the humidity and temperature right now.

Remote temperature and humidity monitoring
With the help of the smart life or tuya smart apps, we may remotely monitor temperature and humidity and receive notifications when those values deviate from the set range.

In-Motion Update
A USB cable must be plugged in for accurate measurement, real-time update, and USB charge to function. Battery-free operation.

Adaptive Linkage

We can design scenes that other tuya sensors can link to. such as humidity or temperature are not set at a certain value. The IR remote control for the air conditioner should be turned on. or turn on the humidifier.

USB cord for electricity

Only uses a USB cable for powering up. There are two positive aspects. no need to replace the battery. can spare it from problems. and is capable of real- time temperature and humidity updates. No need to be concerned about battery life.

LCD Screen

Present content

  1. Switchable temperature (°C/F), and humidity
  2. The time, date, and weekday. (Automatic time adjustment)

NOTE
The APP must be connected to the network in order for automatic time synchronization to work, and the network is always open.

Frequently Asked Questions

Just to be clear if this item is in one state and I am in another can I still access the temperature/humidity from the app on my phone?

yes. can view temperature/humidity remotely. from anywhere.

Has anyone used this on Home Assistant successfully?

Mine is connected to my Alexa system.

Can this be battery operated if there is no power available?

hi, it uses the USB cable to power up.no the battery included.

How much is the subscription for using this device remotely?

HI, it is free to view it remotely.no additional fee.

How does this work on the alexa app? Can you seperate each unit by name and check temp/humidity from Alexa without the app?

hi, it needs to work with Tuyasmart or the smart life app first. then work with Alexa.

Can I see temps from pc/web? or only through a phone app?

HI, we just can view temp from a mobile phone not pc/web

How do I change from c to f on the Tula app?

HI, yes, we can change the C to F via the tuya app.

Will this work inside a refrigerator?

It is not waterproof,, can’t be inside a refrigerator.

I’m wondering if I can create the routing through the google home app. to control my cheap Vicks humidifier to maintain the humidity.

No, you can not.

How many devices can be set up in-app? Could I buy 5 or 6 of these to calculate temp and humidity throughout the home?

hi, you can connect as many as you want.. and view temperature humidity in one app, tuya smart or smart life.

Do you need Alexa to read temperature remotely?

We can use app, tuya smart or smart life to read temperature remotely.. and can use Alexa to control it too

Can this read temperatures below freezing? Spec says the low temp is 0C. Is that just for the accuracy or can it not read below that?

HI, it can read temperature below freezing.. but don’t use below -10degree.

What is the power consumption in watts?

It is only powered up when plugged in with a USB cable.no battery included.

Is there a cost for getting alerts? If so, how much?

It is free to get alerts. such as, when the temperature is out of preset value. then you can create a scene and send a message to the app. but if you want to have a call, then need to pay the cost. the app is tuya smart or smart life.

What is the max amperage that can be used from a USB adapter for this sensor?

The nameplate on this sensor says 5V 1A. The power supply I use was from a Blink camera that also has a rating of 5V 1A. It has worked flawlessly for me on my back porch for 8 months now. It also works fine when powered with a USB power outlet on a modern power strip. I think most any phone charger will work fine with this sensor.
