The RK8-HDX-ULT is the perfect solution for extending 4K HDMI signals to 8 remote locations 300 feet via PoE or up to 450 feet when both sides are powered, ensuring peak performance when transmitting ultra-high quality picture resolutions. The RK8-HDX-ULT is the perfect extender solution for any system, and works in tandem with SmartAVI matrixes for robust routing configurations. Plus, with RS-232 and IR remote control, taking command is convenient and easy every time! It is the ideal way to consolidate up to eight workstation computers into one location. It is fully compatible with MAC, PC and LINUX HDMI standards. Up to eight displays can be extended easily from a rack without the mess or expense of multiple extenders. Rather than buy multiple extenders for rack components, and having to find power strips or numerous power outlets for the adapters, the SmartAVI rack series of extenders allows for up to eight transmitters and eight receivers with only one power supply. Whether it’s for a home entertainment system or a commercial installation, the RK8-HDX-ULT delivers flexibility and control. Don’t let the distance bring your system down: let the RK8-HDX-ULT extend your reach today

HARDWARE INSTALLATION
-
Before connecting, make sure all sources are powered down.
-
Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI source to the HDMI IN port of the RK8-HDX-ULT transmitter.
-
Connect an IR emitter (optional) to the IR OUT port on the transmitter.
-
Connect the RK8-HDX-ULT transmitter to the HDX-ULT receiver using a CAT5e/6 cable (up to 450ft).
-
Connect an IR receiver (optional) to the IR IN port on the receiver.
-
Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on the RK8-HDX-ULT receiver to the HDMI display.
-
Connect the power on the HDX-ULT transmitters by plugging in their power adapters (12VDC2A) or provide 12VDC input from the rear DC input port.
NOTE: If the RX side has a connected DC adapter, the TX can get the DC power over the CAT5e/CAT6 cable, so leave the DC input port empty. Only 1 power supply is required for both units. (In certain cases, if the receiver has too much drop off power, we recommend to connect a 12V DC power supply to each receiver. -
Power on the HDMI source, displays and speakers. The RX will read the EDID from the monitor, and then pass the data into the TX automatically
INTALLATION NOTE: Do not stack receiver units. Stacking inhibits heat distribution.
