Holes for the drive pin

New drive wheels
New drive wheels have a deep groove for the drive pin. Use pre-drilled hole.

Older drive wheels have a shallower groove (5 mm or 3/16″) for the drive pin. You can either buy a new drive wheel (Art. No: R23) or drill a ∅ 4 mm hole according to the drawing below. Predrilled hole Position new hole: 4 mm from the shoulder’s center.

Mounting the grindston

Mount the grindstone and the left threaded EzyLock nut by turning it anticlockwise by hand until it touches the stone. The EzyLock nut will automatically tighten with the right force during the first sharpening operation.

Nylon bearing (Art. No. 3061)

The construction of the bearing is changed regarding the mounting in the housing. From being fixed by gluing it is now fixed by means of a rib on the bearing and a corresponding groove in the housing. No glue is needed. Make a groove with a file ∅ 5 mm (¼”) to clear the rib on the bearing. Grease the shaft with ball bearing grease.
