About This Manual
- An asterisk (*) next to an option indicates the default setting.
- Scanners are factory-programmed for the most common terminal and communication settings.
- If settings need to be changed, you can reprogram by scanning the barcodes in this manual.
Note:
- For the correct use of the product, please read this manual carefully and do not scan configuration bar codes at random. Otherwise, some settings will be temporarily unavailable.
- The scanner’s keyboard layout default is a US keyboard.

Factory Default Settings
If you aren’t sure what programming options are in your scanner, or you have changed some options and want to restore the scanner to factory default settings, scan the barcode below. Please note that the scanner will power cycle after scanning the code.

Scan the Version Number to check the current scanner firmware version.

Operation
Operation Modes
This wireless scanner features two operation modes: real-time mode and storage
mode. To change/switch operation modes, scan Real Time Mode or Storage Mode.
Real-Time Mode
In this mode, the scanner transmits scanned data immediately after each scan.
Storage Mode
When the scanner is in storage mode, the scanned data is stored in the memory of the scanner instead of being directly transmitted to the host device. To check or clear stored barcodes, scan the appropriate codes from the below section.
Note:
The stored data will not get lost unless the Clear All Barcodes Stored symbol
is scanned.
Upload All Barcodes Stored
- When you need to upload the barcodes stored in the scanner to the computer or mobile device, scan the barcode below to enable the scanner to upload data.
- The barcode stored in the scanner will not be deleted in any operation mode after the data transmission is complete.
Total Records
When you need to check the total number of barcodes stored in the scanner,
scan the Total Records to transmit the total number of data stored in the
scanner to the computer or mobile device.
Clear All Barcodes Stored
When you need to clear the barcodes stored in the scanner, scan the Clear All
Barcodes Stored.
Wireless Pairing
- Scan the barcode below within 15 seconds after the receiver is plugged into a USB port.
- The scanner will emit two beeps if the scanner is connected to the charging cradle, indicating pairing is successful.
Sleep Timer
How to set a sleep timer: first scan Set Sleep Timer, then scan the appropriate Timer Code below depending on your needs.

Battery Level
Scan the following code to see how much battery the scanner has left.
Note:
For the scanner to transmit battery percentage information, please launch
Notepad and ensure the cursor is in the text field before scanning the Show
Battery Level symbol.
Keyboard Country Layout
The keyboard layout default is a US keyboard. To change this layout, scan the appropriate Keyboard Country barcode below.
Case Conversion
Alphabetic keyboard characters can be forced to be all upper case or all lower case. So if you have the following barcode: “AzeRTY”, you can get the output “AZERTY” by scanning Convert All Characters to Upper Case, or to “azerty” by scanning Convert All Characters to Lower Case.

Prefix Selection
Add a prefix
Scan the “Add Prefix” symbol and then scan the codes representing the desired
characters from “Appendix – Programming Chart”. The maximum size of a prefix
configuration is 16 characters.
For example: Add letters V and C as a prefix
- Scan the “Add Prefix” symbol.
- Scan the barcodes with letters V (1086) and C(1067) underneath their symbols from the Appendix.
- Scan the “Save and Exit” barcode to finish the programming process.
Note:
Prefix and Suffix characters are data characters that can be sent before and
after scanned data. They will be sent with all symbologies.
Clear Prefixes
Scan the following code to clear all configured prefixes.
Suffix Selection
Add a suffix
- Scan the “Add Suffix” symbol and then scan the codes representing the desired characters from “Appendix – Programming Chart”.
- The maximum size of a suffix configuration is 16 characters.
Note:
Prefix and Suffix characters are data characters that can be sent before and
after scanned data. They will be sent with all symbologies.
Clear Suffixes
Scan the following code to clear all configured suffixes.
Removal of Characters
If you need to drop characters, please scan the digit codes below depending on your needs. For example, if you have the following barcode, ABC123XYZ, you can make the output “123X” by scanning 3 digits from the Remove the First Characters section and scanning 2 digits from the Remove the Last Characters section.

By default, the scanner is programmed with a Carriage Return (Enter) suffix.
If you need to remove or replace it, please scan the appropriate code below.
