DEEWISH HD-1688 Radio Clock
INSTALLATION
- Attach the motor to the clockface according to the diagram.
- Install the hour, minute, and second hands parallel to the 12 o’clock position and keep the distance between the hands.
- Pull out the positioning pin behind the motor.
- Insert the battery (AA, 1.5V, LR6) into the battery slot (ensure the polarity of the battery is correct). You will see the second-hand returns to zero, and the minute-hand sweeps to 12:00 and then enters the receiving state. This process takes 3-15 minutes. After receiving the current time, the hands will automatically adjust to the correct position the clock will function normally
Summary:
The clock receives radio waves to automatically synchronize to the current
time. The main feature is that the time is always and it will self-correct any
timing error (When the RCC switch is set to the ON position, it has a radio
wave reception function. If it is set to the OFF position, radio wave
reception is not performed. This function is only available for the U.S.
version). Due to the strength of the radio signal in each area, if the above
operation does not receive the signal, remove the battery, and then repeat the
installation of the battery after 20 seconds; if the signal is not received
after 15 minutes, move the clock in front of a window to receive the signal
again. It can be used normally after receiving the signal.
Manual time adjustment:
The time can be adjusted manually while the clock is running. Press the SET
key for more than 3 seconds, all the hands stop, the minute hand moves 6 times
(that is, 1 minute), and it enters the manual time adjustment mode. When the
SET button is pressed for more than 1 second, the hour and minute hands will
move quickly; if the SET button is pressed shortly (less than 1 second), it
will increase by 1 minute. If the user does not operate the SET button and the
REC button, after about 30 seconds, it will automatically exit the manual time
adjustment mode and enter the normal timekeeping mode.
Reset:
Press the reset button to clear all the clock’s internal information. The
hour, minute, and second hands are reset to 12:00, the radio wave signal will
be received. If the signal reception is OK, the time will be Automatically
Calibrated, This needs to be clarified. normal functioning will restart after
the time calibration is completed.
Automatic reception of radio signals and automatic hand correction
function:
When the hand position of the clock is inconsistent with the internal time for
any reason, the clock automatically detects the hand position in several time
periods and corrects it to be consistent with the internal time. In order to
compensate for the clock’s quartz crystal error, the clock’s time will be
automatically received 4 times a day, corresponding to the morning: 3:00,
4:00, 5:00, and 6:00, in order to correct any timing error to ensure the radio
clock’s time accuracy
Calibration of the second hand, correction of the minute hand:
At 1:30:00, 9:30:00, and 17:30:00, the position of the second hand is
detected, and then compared with the internal time and recalibrated as needed.
After 3 minutes, it will exit the calibration process. At 1:52:00-2:00:00, the
position of the minute hand is detected and then compared with the internal
time. If the deviation is greater than half a minute or more, it will be reset
to 12:00:00 and then forced to receive radio time calibration. Check this.
