HITLIGHTS 40121 LED Light Strips
HOW TO APPLY
- Measure the LED light strip to your desired length, and locate the nearest cut line.
- Using your scissors, cut neatly along the cut line.
- Clean the surface where you intend to install.
- Remove the backing from the light strip to reveal adhesive tape.
- Press down and run the strip in a straight line onto the surface.
- Use mounting clips to fix the wires if needed.
SAFETY & WARNINGS
- Install in accordance with the national and local electrical code regulations.
- This product is intended to be installed and serviced by a qualified, licensed electrician.
- Only install with a Class 2 DC Constant Voltage LED driver. This product has not been evaluated for use when connected to an LED driver that does not comply with Class 2 voltage and energy limited supplies.
- Only use copper wiring. Use wires rated for at least 176°F (80°() & certified for use with external connection of electrical equipment.
- Ensure that the light strip works within the listed ambient temperatures: -4°F -113°F (-20°c -45°(), and effective ventilation and heat dissipation need to be considered after installation.
- Do not connect directly to high voltage power! Max running of this strip light is 16.4 feet (5 meters) when the power supply at a single end.
- Do not power on light strips while still on roll, this may cause LEDs to burn out and get severely hot, damaging life span and performance. Please extend and remove all packaging from led strips before powering on or testing.
- Inadequate wire installation could overheat wires, and cause a fire, install applicable wire between driver, fixture, and any controls in between. When choosing wire, factor in voltage drop, amperage rating, and type (in-wall rated, wet location rated, etc).
TROUBLESHOOTING
Lights do not light up?
Confirm that the strip is connected to the power source. (This strip light
requires a 24V DC power source.) If the strip light is connected to a
controller, make sure they are switched on.
Lights dim or flickering?
Check the voltage on your power source. Anything below 24V DC may result in
dim lights or flickering.
Adhesive tapes do not stick?
Make sure to clean your mounting surface. Adhesive tape may not work well on
certain surfaces such as wood, stone and other rough surfaces. Try Hitlights
mounting tape, mounting clips, or an adhesive suited to the surfaces in
question.
