Description
The Dinan Intake Muffler Delete System is a performance enhancement product designed to increase performance and durability while providing an aesthetic design. It has been meticulously developed by the Dinan Engineering Team to ensure customer satisfaction for many years.
Installation Instructions
Removal of Stock System:
- Pull the acoustic cover up and out of the rubber mounts and remove it.
- Remove the strut brace (if equipped).
- Detach the seal.
- Remove the clip and loosen the two cap nuts. Open the four locks by turning them counterclockwise.
- Remove the windshield panel cover.
- Detach the protective cap and remove the nut.
- Detach the wiper arm.
- Loosen the cap nut and open the three locks by turning them counterclockwise.
- Unclip and remove the cover upwards from the holding rail.
- Remove the screw and detach the harness.
- Release the expansion rivet and release the screw.
- Remove the partition wall.
- Release the expanding rivets and remove the mounting for the engine compartment lid gasket.
- Unscrew the three screws and unclip the fuel line from the holder.
- Remove the second bulkhead at the top.
- Release the clamps and release the clean air pipe from the intake silencer housing.

REMOVAL OF STOCK SYSTEM
- Pull acoustic cover (1) up and out of the rubber mounts and remove.
- Remove the strut brace (if equipped).
- Detach seal.
- Remove clip (1). Loosen 2 Cap nuts (2). Open 4 Locks (3) by turning them counter-clockwise.
- Remove the windshield panel cover.
- Detach the protective cap and remove the nut.
- Detach wiper arm (1).
- Loosen 1 Cap nut (1). Open 3 Locks (2) by turning them counter-clockwise.
- Unclip and remove the cover upwards from the holding rail.
- Remove the crew and detach the harness.
- Release the expansion rivet and release the screw.
- Remove the partition wall.
- Release expanding rivets (1). Remove the mounting for the engine compartment lid gasket.
- Unscrew the 3 screws and unclip the fuel line from the holder.
- Remove the second bulkhead at the top.
- Release clamps. Release clean air pipe from intake silencer housing.
- Remove screw.
- Release blow by by-heater line and disconnect from the cylinder head cover.
- Release vacuum line and disconnect.
- Unlock clamp at the turbo inlet.
- Raise the lean air pipe, release connector (1) on the heating element, and disconnect.
- Remove the clean air pipe.
- Remove the flex section (1), turbo inlet wire-form retainer (2), and Blow by heater plug line (3).
- Feed in Dinan pipe and attach connector (1) to the heating element. Connector (1) must engage audibly.
- Connect lines (1) & (2) to Dinan pipe. The Dinan pipe must audibly engage with the turbo inlet. Tighten screw (3) to 6 ft-lbs. Connect line (4) to the cylinder head cover. Line (4) must audibly engage.
- First, connect the flex pipe (1) to the air box and then to the Dinan pipe. Ensure flex section orientation is as shown below. Tighten clamps (2) to 2.2 ft-lbs.
- Position the second bulkhead at the top. Tighten down screws (1). Clip-in fuel line into the holder (2).
- Install wire harness plate on the bulkhead.
- Position mounting for engine compartment lid gasket. Secure expanding rivets (1).
- Position partition wall (3). Tighten screw (2). Attach expanding rivet (1).
- Install the left and right windshield panel cover.
- Fit and clip-in right cover (2) in the holding rail.
- Lock screw plugs (1).
- Jothe in wiper arm and tighten with nut (2) to 26 ft-lbs. Install protective cap (1).
- Install rear windshield panel cover.
- Thread in the windshield panel cover (3).
- Turn the locks (2) to the right until the stop is reached.
- Tighten cap nuts (1) to 2.2 ft-lbs.
- Attach the clip.
- Install top bulkhead cover. Reinstall seal.
- Install the acoustic cover.
- Install strut brace if equipped.
