PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS
Insert and Charge the battery
- Before the first time use, make sure the battery is installed as shown.
- Charge the battery until the red LED turns green.
Insert microSD card
- Insert an unlocked (writable) microSD card into the memory card slot.
Calibrate the scanner
- Lay the calibration sheet on a flat surface, printed side up.
- Place the scanner on the white area of the calibration sheet.
- Press and hold both the Scan and PDF JPG buttons for 3 seconds to turn on and enter the calibration mode.
- When C01 appears on the LCD and the red LED flashes, slide the scanner down across the white area of the calibration sheet.
- When the first scan is finished, C02 appears on the LCD.
- Slide the scanner back up over the white area.
- When the calibration is complete, 777/888 appears on the LCD, and then the scanner automatically turns off.
- Carefully place the calibration sheet back into the plastic sleeve and store it until the next use.
Turn scanner on
- Press and hold the Scan button for 2 seconds. Wait until both green and red LEDs turn off.
Choose Scan settings
- Press STD HQ to choose the desired resolution (STD=300dpi, HQ=600 dpi)
- Press Color BW to choose document color (Color=color, BW=grayscale)
- Press PDF JPEG to choose your desired file format.
Scan your document
- Be sure a microSD card is inserted into the scanner.
- Place the document on flat surface. If book, hold firmly with one hand.
- Hold the scanner in your hand, and press Scan (SP0 appears on the LCD).
- Place the scanner horizontally on the document, lining up the start-scanning position marked on the sides of the scanner with the left edge of your document.
- Hold the scanner and glide it gently over the surface of the page.
- To obtain an optimal scanned image, keep your speed at SP0.
- After scanning, press the Scan button. If the page is scanned successfully, 001 appears on the LCD.
View or Download scanned images
- Remove microSD from the scanner and insert it into a card reader connected to your computer OR
- Connect the scanner to your computer via a USB cable.
Computer System Requirements
- Operating system: Windows XP Pro SP3+, Windows Vista, Windows 7 Mac 10.5 or later (Intel-based) (Mac can only be used for USB file transfer)
- USB Port: USB 2.0 or USB 1.1
- After a Successful Connection, An additional drive is titled Removable Disk [drive letter] or the personalized title you may have previously assigned to your memory card.
- File Naming Convention Your scanned images are stored in a folder on your microSD card:
- JPG files are stored in a subfolder titled DCIM/100PHOTO
- PDF files are stored in a subfolder titled DCIM/200DOC
Each scanned image is given a file name with the prefix PDI_ followed by a 4-digit sequential number in the order the images are stored, i.e., PDI_0001.jpg, PDI_0002.jpg, etc.
Turn scanner off
- Press & hold the Scan button for 3 seconds.
- The scanner automatically turns off if left idle for 3 minutes.
