3.1 Handheld Mode

3.2 Bluetooth Connection

1. Turn on the Switch console, then click System settings
   

2. Click Airplane Mode, set it to “ON”, then turn on the Bluetooth function
   

3. Press the pair for 3 seconds then release it, the LED light flashes
   

4. Click the “Controllers”,
   

5. Then click “Change Grip/Order”

When the connection is successful, follow the prompts of the host to use normally.

Reconnect

If the joy-con controller has once been successfully paired witha console, when the console Bluetooth is under turned on state, short press any key (except for L3, R3, PAIR) to wake up the joy-con controller and enter reconnection mode, LED lights flash. After seconds, the joy-con controller and the host are automatically paired successfully, and the console can start the game operation after the corresponding channel light is always on.
When the joy-con controller is under Handheld Mode, pull out the joy-con controller, the joy-con controller will automatically reconnect back to the console, and the console will send the corresponding channel to the joy-con controller to allow the player to operate the game.

Home Button Wake Up

Short press the HOME button for 1s to turn on the joy-con controller, and the LED1-LED4 indicator lights flash cyclically. The dormant Switch will reconnect to the console after waking up, and will automatically shut down if fail to reconnect in 30s.

Charging

1. When the joy-con controller is under power-off state, connect itto the adapter and LED lights flash slowly; LED lights go off after fully charged.
2. When the joy-con controller is under connected state, connectitto the adapter and the host homepage shows harging state. When the joy-con controller is under Handheld Mode, the type-c interface of the joy-con controller cannot be charged to avoid damaging theconsole.
3. The left and right joy-con controllers can be inserted into the slide rail grooves on both sides of the SWITCH host, and the joy-con controller can be charged while charging the host through the charging adapter of the console.

Operating Instructions For Fitness Ring

1. Left joy-con controller:
   After pairing with the console, follow the prompts of the console to operate.

2. Right joy-con controller:
   Background execution mode, the operation method of our SWITCH right joy-con controller playing fitness ring game to enter “background execution mode” is modified as follows:
   After inserting the fitness ring on the right joy-con controller, press and hold the “HOME” button for 1s to enter the “background execution mode”. Short press “R3” key to exit “background execution mode”. Short press the “HOME” button to reconnect (the original right joy-con controller is plugged into the fitness ring and then press the “R3″ button to enter the “background execution mode” and press “R3” again to exit “background execution mode”) Fitness ring mode: After pairing with the console,  insert the right joy-con controller into the fitness ring and operate the fitness ring for game operations.
   Note: This joy-con controller has no camera function.

Lock Machine

When the machine is locked, the wake-up function of any key is canceled.

1. (Lock the phone) Press any key to wake up the joy-con con-troller or when the joy-con controller is under connected state.
   Left joy-con controller: Press and hold the L3 and “-” for 3s, and the joy-con controller will enter the lock state (short press any key, the joy-con controller will not respond).
   Right joy-con controller: Press and hold the R3 and “+” for 3s and the joy-con controller enters the locked state (short press any key, the joy-con controller will not respond).
   Under locked state, there is no charging display.

2. (Unlock) Change the joy-con controller from locked state to any key wake-up state.
   Press and hold the Pairing button for 3 seconds, then the joy-con controller will enter the pairing state. After connecting to the host, the joy-con controller will automatically unlock and enter any key wake-up mode; if the pairing is not success-fully connected to the console, the joy-con controller will also be in the unlocked state and enter any key wake-up mode.
   When the joy-con controller is locked, directly insert the joy-con controller into the slide rail of the console, and wait for the console to display that it has successfully paired with the joy-con controller. At this time, the joy- con controller has been unlocked and enters any key wake-up mode.

Low Battery Alarm

When the battery voltage of the joy-con controller is lower than 3.5V, according to the principle of battery characteristics, the light of the corresponding channel flashes slowly, indicating that the joy-con controller is low and needs to be charged.

Shut Down

1. When the joy-con controller is under power on state, short press the PAIR button and the joy-con controller will go into sleep mode.
2. When the controller is under back-connecting state, it will go into sleep mode when it cannot be connected after 15 seconds.
3. When the joy-con controller is in the state of code matching, it will automatically sleep when it cannot be coded after 60 seconds.
4. When the joy-con controller is under connected state, the joy-con controller will automatically shut down when the host screen is off.

Calibration

1. Sensor calibration:
   Under connected state, the console enters the sensor calibration interface, place the joy-con controller flat on the surface and do not move, press the “+” or “-” key, the console pops up when the calibration is completed, the calibration is complete.
   Under connected state, the console is in any interface:
   Left-hand joy-con controller: Place horizontally and hold down “-” ” and ” CAP (screen capture key)” for 3s, the LED lights will flash for 3s and then restore to the original connected state, and the calibration is complete.
   Right-hand joy-con controller: After placing it horizontally and holding down the “+” and “HOME” button for 3s, the LED lights will flash for 3s and then restore to the original connected state. At this time, the calibration is complete.
   Without pairing with the console, press any key to boot: Left-hand joy-con controller: Place horizontally and hold down “-“” and “CAP (screen capture key)” for 3s, the LED lights will flash for 3s and then restore to the original state. At this time, the calibration is complete.
   Right-hand joy-con controller: After placing it horizontally and holding down the “+” and “HOME keys” for 3s, the LED lights will flash for 3s and then restore to the original state. The calibration is now complete.

2. 3D calibration:
   The console enters the 3D calibration interface, press L3/R3 to enter the calibration operation interface, follow the instructions of the console to complete the corresponding actions, and the console pops up when the calibration is completed, the calibration is complete.

About Upgrading

The joy-con controller can be upgraded without driver USB. Press and hold the L3/R3 key, connect to PC via the USB cable,andthe “update device” will be displayed. The LED1 flashes slowly, which means the joy-con controller enters the upgrade mode to upgrade.
Note: The upgrade tools and files are only for the company’s production and upgrade use, and are not provided to users. It is recommended that users do not upgrade the device privately. The company is not responsible for irreversible damage to the joy-con controller caused by improper upgrade operations unless the upgrade operation is carried out under the premise of the company’s consent and the guidance of the company’s designated technicians.

Joy-con Controller Pc Test Steps

When the joy-con controllers are not connected to the SWITCH host, press any key on the left or right joy-con controller to power on. Connect to the PC with the adapter cable, and when LED1 shows solid light, they are successfully connected.
The name of the controller on the PC: Left hand Joy-Con (L); Right hand: Joy- Con (R).

Reset Function

Hardware Reset: When the joy-con controller is abnormal and pressing the PAIR button cannot help, you can press the reset button on the back of the joy-con controller to reset it.
Reset method: Insert a slender object into the Reset hole on the back of the joy-con controller, and press it to reset the state of the joy-con controller.
