Operating Instructions

Charging

  1. Plug the USB cable into the headset and the computer, or put the headset into the charging base correctly to start charging.
  2. In the charging status, the charging indicator is solid Red. After fully charged, the charging indicator light is solid Blue.
  3. When the battery is low, the indicator light will flash red.

Start

  1. In the off status, slide the power switch of the headset to the ‘middle’ gear, and then the headset is power-on. When there is no pairing record, it will automatically enter the pairing mode(Red/Blue flashes) when it is turned on, and enter the re-connection mode(Blue light flashes) when there is a pairing record.

Shutdown

  1. In the power-on status, slide the power switch of the headset to the ‘right’ gear, and the headset will be power-off.

Pairing

  1. ln the power-on status and non-calling status, slide the power switch of the headset to the ‘left’ gear, and hold it for about 2 seconds until the indicators turn to flash ‘Red/Blue’ alternately. Then release the switch, now the headset can be found by Bluetooth devices.
  2. Turn on the Bluetooth of the mobile phone/laptop or other Bluetooth devices. When the device finds the headset, select the ‘BT-88’ device. When the pairing of the device and the headset is completed, the indicator light will change from an alternately red/blue flash to a slow blue flash.

Answer/reject/hang up calls

  1. First, pair the headset with the Bluetooth device successfully.
  2. When there is an incoming call, click the ‘Answer\Reject Call\Siri’ button on the headset to answer the current call.
  3. When there is an incoming call, press and hold the ‘Answer\Reject Call\Siri’ button of the headset for 1-2 seconds, and the current call will be rejected.
  4. When the call is over, click the ‘Answer\Reject Call/Siri’ button on the headset to end the current call.

Volume adjustment

  1. First, pair the headset with the Bluetooth device successfully.
  2. When you need to increase the volume, click the ‘Volume+’ button on the headset to increase the volume.
  3. When you need to lower the volume, click the ‘Volume-‘ button on the headset to decrease the volume.

Play/Pause

  1. First, pair the headset with the Bluetooth Device successfully.
  2. When you are playing music, click the ‘Play\Pause’ button on the headset, and the music being played will be paused.
  3. When the music is paused, click the ‘Play\Pause’ button on the headset, and the paused music will be played.

Previous/Next

  1. First, pair the headset with the Bluetooth Device successfully.
  2. When you are playing music, press and hold the ‘Volume+’ button on the headset until the music is changed, then release the button, and the next music will be played.
  3. When you are playing music, press and hold the ‘Volume-‘ button on the headset until the music is changed, then release the button, and the previous music will be played.

The voice control function (Siri voice control function of Apple devices)

  1. First, pair the headset with the Bluetooth device successfully.
  2. When the device is not in a call status, quickly double-dick the ‘Answer\Reject Call\Siri’ button of the headset, and the mobile phone will start the voice control function.

Mute the microphone

  1. First, pair the headset with the Bluetooth device successfully.
  2. When the headset is in the status of talking or recording, click the ‘Mic Mute’ button of the headset, and the microphone will be muted. The microphone mute indicator light is on.
  3. When the microphone is in the mute status, click the ‘Mic Mute’ button of the headset, and the microphone will unmute. The microphone mute indicator is off.

Connection Guide

Connection without Dongle

PAIRING MODE

  1. In off status, slide the power switch to the middle, headset turned on.
  2. Slide and hold power switch to’PAIR’ side, until circle indicator flashes Blue & Red, enter pairing mode, you will hear’Pairing’ through the headset. Then release the power switch.
  3. Power Switch
  *  **Pair Mode:** Slide Left
  *  **Power ON** : Slide Middle
  *  **Power OFF** : Slide Right 
  1. Go to the Bluetooth menu on your device. Search and click to connect ‘BT-88’ on your Phone/PC/laptop Bluetooth lists, circle indicator change to Blue flashes once after connected. You can hear’Connected’through the headset. Now you can play music/make phone calls from device to headphone. (IF ASKED FOR PIN CODE, TYPE 0000)
  2.  Click PC/MAC sound icon(Bottom right side of Windows/Top right side of MAC) choose BT-88 Stereo’ when only listen to music. ‘BT-88Hands-free AG Audio’ when online meetings or using mic &speakers.
  3. You can enter PAIRING MODE at any time needed, just simply slide and hold power switch to ‘PAIR’ side.
  4. Make sure’BT-88′ is set as playback and recording device in your computer’s setting.
  5. Make sure’BT-88′ is set as default audio device for your softphone such as MS Teams.

RECONNECT MODE

  1. In off status, slide power switch to the middle, enter reconnect mode with LED Blue fiash , the headset will start to search the devices connected before.
  2. 0nce the headset connected with the remembered devices, you will hear ‘Connected’ through the speaker and the LED change to Blue light slow fiash.
  3. Make sure’BT-88’is set as playback and recording device in your computer’s setting.
  4. Make sure’BT-88’is set as default audio device for your softphone such as MS Teams.

Connection with Dongle

  1. In off status, slide power switch to the middle, enter reconnect mode with LED Blue flash, the headset will start to search the devices connected before.
  2. Plug in the ‘BT-88’ Dongle (included in package) into your PC/laptop’s USB-A port.
  3. The Headset and the Dongle will pair automatically, you can hear ‘Connected’ through the headset.
  4. Make sure ‘BT-88 Dongle’ is set as playback and recording device in your computer’s setting.

Dual Connection

Connection with 2 Devices (Dongle + Bluetooth Device)

  1. Please connect to the Bluetooth device first, then connect to the USB Dongle. First, make sure the USB Dongle is not plug in.
  2. In off status, slide the power switch to the middle, headset turned on.
  3. Slide and hold power switch to ‘PAIR’ side, until circle indicator flashes Blue & Red, enter pairing mode, you will hear’Pairing’through the headset, then release the power switch.
  4. Go to the Bluetooth menu on your Device. Search and click to connect’BT-88′ on your Phone/PC/laptop Bluetooth lists, circle indicator change to Blue flashes once after connected. You can hear’ Connected ‘through the headset. Now you can play music/make phone calls from device to headphone. (IF ASKED FOR PIN CODE, TYPE 0000)
  5. Plug in the’BT-88′ Dongle (included in package) into your PC/laptop’s USB-A port.
  6. The Dongle will connect to the headset automatically.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Q: Not ABLE TO USE THE HEADSET ON PC?
    A: You can switch different mode of the headset on PC setting of the AUDIO, click the bottom right side speaker icon, you can find 2 choices of the BT-88 headset normally after connected. If you can not HEAR others on the online meeting, please choose ‘BT-88 Hands-free AG Audio, If you need to only listen to music or videos without using MIC, please choose ‘BT-88 Stereo’ If you connected to the Bluetooth DONGLE, please choose ‘BT-88 Dongle!

  • Q: HOW TO GET IN PC BLUETOOTH LIST?
    A: WINDOWS: When the headset is flashing red & blue light. GO TO SETTINGS>DEVICES>Add Bluetooth or other Devices>BluetoothVONZTEK-BT882-D
