Product Usage Instructions

Updating Avantis Firmware
To update the Avantis firmware, please follow these steps:

1. Visit the website www.allen-heath.com for instructions on how to update the firmware.
2. Read the important notes about the update.
3. Download the latest firmware version (V1.25) and save it to a USB drive.
4. Insert the USB drive into the Avantis console.
5. Go to the firmware update menu on the console.
6. Select the firmware file from the USB drive and start the update process.
7. Wait for the update to complete and follow any on-screen instructions.
8. Once the update is finished, restart the Avantis console.

• ID3001 Avantis could in certain circumstances fail to boot past ampersand splash screen.
• ID3003 Dante V3 I/O card no longer erroneously setting card fan speed to 0%.
• ID2999 Fixes bug causing Avantis to incorrectly indicate it has not been shut down correctly on the previous boot.

Known Issues

• ID0893 – Touchscreen Freeze during Firmware Update
  In certain circumstances, the touchscreens can freeze on the ampersand screen when attempting to update the firmware from v1.03. If this issue occurs, please contact customer support for assistance.

• ID2306 – MIDI Softkeys in Director
  MIDI Softkeys in Director fire both their ‘on press’ and ‘on release’ events on press. This behavior may cause unexpected actions. Make sure to configure the MIDI Softkeys accordingly to avoid any undesired effects.

• ID2300 – DCA Spills in Director
  DCA Spills do not work in Director when online. If you need to use DCA Spills, please ensure that you are not in Director mode or use an alternative method.

• ID2182 – LPF/HPF GUI Not Showing in Bank View
  The LPF/HPF GUI may not show in bank view when turned off. To access the LPF/HPF GUI, navigate to the appropriate menu or try turning it on and off again.

• ID2357 – Microsoft Surface Touch and Hold
  If running Director on a Microsoft Surface, touch and hold does not trigger the right-click menu on custom rotaries. Consider using a different input method or contact support for further assistance.
