APP Installation and Account Registration
Download ‘ieGeek’ APP
- Method 1 : Download ‘ieGeek’ APP from APP Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android);
- Method 2: Scan ‘ieGeek’ APP QR code to download it.
Tips:
Please grant the following 2 permissions while using this APP for the first
time.
- Allow ‘ieGeek’ APP to access mobile cellular data and wireless LAN or it will fail to add IP camera.
- Allow ‘ieGeek’ APP to receive a pushed message or the phone will not receive an alarm push when motion detection or audible alarm is triggered.
Register Account
New users need to register by email. The concrete steps are as follows:
- Click “Sign Up”;
- Follow the steps to complete the registration of the account;
- Log in.
Preparations Before Connection
Before Connecting:
- Please insert the Micro SD card before powering on, otherwise, the SD card cannot be recognized. (Micro SD card is not included; the camera supports up to 512GB Micro SD card).
- Put the camera and smartphone 1-3 ft (30-l00cm) away from the router to set Wi-Fi.
- Make sure that the camera is using 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
Power on Camera
- Plug in the camera’s power cable, please use 12V==1A power adapter (included) to power the camera.
- And then press and hold on the reset button for 10s to reset the camera.
- After you hear the beep of “Reset Successfully”, it proves that the camera is being reset, please wait for above 60s.
- When you will hear the beep of “Ding”, it means that the camera has been reset and powered on.
How to Add a Camera to APP
- Tap”+” to Add a Device
- Select “Outdoor Dome”
- Tap “Powered on” and “Next”
- Scan Camera’s QR Code Label
- Tip: When you use a LAN Ethernet (not included) to connect, scan the camera’s QR code label to connect successfully; Please ensure that your camera is connected to the network cable and router.

Why the phone can’t receive alarm notifications:
- Please check if you accept the ieGeek send notifications to your phone. (Your Smartphone Setting)
- Please check if you turn on the “Notification” on ieGeek ( Camera “Setting” – “Notification” – “Motion Detection” /”Sound Detection”/”Human Detection” – “Enable Alarm”)
- Please check if you turn on the “Sound” and “Vibration· on ieGeek (“Account”-“More”- “Notification Center”).
Why does the Wi-Fi connection fail during the initial setup process?
- Please set the camera up through a 2.4GHz internet connection, not support 5GHz for connection yet.
- Please ensure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password.
- Put your camera close to your router to ensure a strong WiFi signal.
- If the reset button was pressed for 10 seconds, the camera will be restored to factory settings, you need to configure the connection again.
- If the camera still can’t connect to the Wi-Fi, please contact us through service@iegeek.com .
What to do if Wi-Fi is frequently disconnected?
- Check whether the Wi-Fi network is good and restart the router, make sure the camera’s Wi-Fi signal is above 85%;.
- If the location is too far away from the router, causing the failure of connecting a good Wi-Fi signal, it is recommended to move the router to a closer location, or add a Wi-Fi extender to enhance the home Wi-Fi performance.
- Remove the camera from your MIPC account, please reset the camera to restore to factory settings. (Please set up the camera via a 2.4GHZ Wi-Fi, 5GHz Wi-Fi is not supported.), and then re-add it.
- Check that the device firmware and applications are up to date.
- If the camera still can’t connect to the Wi-Fi stably, please contact us through service@iegeek.com .
Why history videos cannot be played?
- When you use the SD card storage, please insert the SD card before turning on the camera.
- Please note that it only supports 512GB SD card maximally.
- Check the status of the SD card in “Settings” and make sure the SD card is successfully recognized.
- The read and write speed requirements is Class O level and file format is Fat32 or exeats;
- Re-insert the SD card.
- Format the SD card in the opp.
- Try another new SD card.
