- The factory defauld status initiallization is off. You can change the initializaton relay status to “ON” or “Remember Last Status” in “Setting” button.
ATTENTION
- Never try to mount the smart socket on your own. Only have the installation carried out by a trained specialist!
- The smart socket cables must be connected exactly as in the following graphic.
WIRING
MOUNTING
Before the smart socket can be mounted you have to power off the fuse so that there is no electric power.
- Remove the glass panel of the socket by using a screwdriver.
- Unscrew the screws slightly and connect the cables as shown in the circuit diagram. Tighten the screws again and make sure that no cables are loose, and the isolation of the wires reaches the housing.
- Mount the smart socket to your flush-mounted box by using the delivered screws.
- Hook the glass panel back into thehousing and press it until you hear a click and the panel is firmly seated on the housing
- Make sure that the panel is mounted to the housing the right way around. The cable connections should point upwards and the groove should be on the bottom of the glass panel.
- Now, the fuse can be powered on again.
TROUBLESHOOTING AND HINTS
TROUBLESHOOTING
- If the socket has a malfunction during use, you can reset it by disconnecting the power supply for approximately 10-15 minutes.
HINTS
- Protect the device from humidity and moisture.
- Do not use near water.
- Avoid bumps or falls.
- Do not try to modify the unit or to repair it by yourself.
- Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use chemical substances.
- Do not dispose of the device in household waste at the end of its life cycle.
- Only dispose at specially-designated collection locations, recycling depots or disposal companies.
APP INSTALLATION
- Connect your smartphone or tablet to the wlan router.
- Download the “Smart Life” or “Tuya” app from the app store/google player/ Official website to your smartphone or tablet. Or scan the qr code via your Smartphone to install the app
- Start the setting up process by opening “Smart Life” app
- Enter your username and password to get the verification code to log into “Smart Life” app to get connected with your devices.
- Set up your desired password to log into the app directly
Tip: Only 2.4GHz WIFI Standard Is Supported Not Supports 5.0GHz
ADD DEVICE
ADD DEVICE (RAPIDLY BLINK MODE)
- Press the small button for about 7 seconds until the WiFi RED indicator flash rapidly showing the WiFi module is on paring status.
- Press the icon “+” at the right corner of the interface to add your advice.
- Add manually, then choose “Socket(Wi-FI)”.
- Input your Wi-Fi password, then press “Next”.
- Press “Confirm indicator rapidly blink” .
- Wait until the device is added successfully, then click “Completed”.
- Note: 1. Users could rename the device by pressing the icon “ ” at the right corner.
- Note: 2. The device will be on paring mode (rapidly blink) if power on/off three times continuously (in 1-2 seconds between each power off).
- Note: 3. When pairing, front LED indicator flashes red. After pairing, LED indicator changes to bule.
ADD DEVICE (AP MODE, SLOWLY BLINK)
- Press the small button for about 7 seconds until the WiFi red indicator flash rapidly, release the button and press it again for about 7 seconds until the WiFi indicator flash slowly.
- Press the icon “+” at the right corner of the interface to add your advice.
- Choose “All device”, then choose “Socket(Wi-FI)” Choose “AP mode” at the right corner of the interface to add your advice.
- Press “Confirm indicator slowly blink”.
- Input your Wi-Fi password, then press “Confirm”.
- Connect the phone’s Wi-Fi to the device’s hotspot “Smartlife-XXXX” (by choosing at left corner).
- Return back to pairing interface.
- Wait until the device is added successfully, then click “Completed”.
- Note: 1. Users could rename the device by pressing the icon” “at the right corner.
RF DEFAULT OPERATION
RF DEFAULT OPERATION (IF SOCKET WITH REMOTE FUNCTION)
- RF433 Pairing Mode:
- Press and hold on the small button for seconds till blue indicator starts blinking.
- Press any button of the remote controller to successful pairing.
- RF433 Canceling Sync Mode:
- Hold on the button till blinking. Release and hold again on the button till The blue led indicator light Is on (stop flashing).
SET YOUR ECHO SPEAKER VIA ALEXA APP AND ENABLE SKILLS
SET YOUR ECHO SPEAKER VIA ALEXA APP
- Login with your Alexa account and password (if you do not have an account, please register firstly). After login, press the menu at the top left corner, then press “Settings”, and select “Set up a newdevice”.
- Select a device f.i.Echo. When the page on the right side appears, long press the small dot on Echo until the light turns to yellow. Then click “Continue” option on APP. (Note: Do not open the VPN software on the phone during this time).
- Selct the user’s Wi-Fi network and wait a few minutes.
- After a brief voice introduction, click next step. Then it will skip to the Home Page automatically. And at this time, Echo has connected to the Wi-Fi through Alexa App successfully.
ENABLE SKILLS ON ALEXA APP
- Select skills from the option colum, then search for “Smart Life” in the input box, select “Smart Life” from the search results, then click “Enable Skill”.
- ( Note: If you have already bound an account, you can click Disable Skillsto remove the binding, then click Enable Skills to continue to bind the new Smart Life account).
- Input the user name and password that you have registered previously. (It only supports accounts in the United States). When you see thepage on the right, it means that Alexa account has successfully connected to the Smart Life account.
CONTROL DEVICES VIAALEXA APP
- After the previous operations are successful, the device can be controlled Via Echo.
- Discover Devices: Firstly, users required to say Echo: “Alexa, find my device”, Echo will start to discover the device which has been added into the “Smart Life” APP previously, and it will take 20 seconds to display the results.
- Or you can click “Descover Devices” in Alexa APP, and it will show in the list the devices that hava been discovered.
- Note: “Echo” is one of the names used for wake-up the App, and you can also use another two names i.e. Alexa / Amazon.
LIST SUPPORTING SKILLS OF ECHO
You can control your device with the following commands:
- Alexa, turn on/off bedroom light.
- Alexa, set bedroom light to 50 percent.
- Alexa, bright / increase bedroom light.
- Alexa, dim / decrease bedroom light.
Note: The name of the device must match with the name in Smart Life APP.
