WARNING
- This unit can be used by children aged 8 and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the unit in a safe way and they understand the hazards involved. Do not allow children to play with the unit. Only allow children to carry out cleaning and user maintenance under supervision.

Special regulations apply for electrical installation in outdoor spaces. Only a qualified electrician may perform the electrical installation.
– The qualified electrician has the necessary professional training, knowledge and experience to perform electrical installation in outdoor spaces. The electrician can detect potential dangers and knows how to adhere to regional and national standards, regulations and directives.
– For your own safety, please consult a qualified electrician. -
Only connect the unit if the electrical data of the unit and the power supply match.

Only plug the unit into a correctly installed outlet.

The device is to be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.

Extension cables and power distributors (e.g. outlet strips) must be suitable for outdoor use (splash-proof).

Protect open plugs and sockets from moisture.
Safe operation
- Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
- Do not use the unit, if electrical lines or the housing are damaged.
- If the electrical connection cable of the device is damaged, dispose of the device. The connection cable cannot be replaced.
- Do not carry or pull the unit by its power cable.
- Route lines in such a way that they are protected from damage and do not present a tripping hazard.
- Only use original spare parts and accessories.
- Should problems occur, please contact the authorised customer service or OASE.
Intended use
Only use the product described in this manual as follows:
- For controlling and monitoring OASE Control-compatible devices from the water garden segment.
- Only operate with the original power pack.
- While adhering to the technical specifications. (→ Technical data)
The following restrictions apply to the unit:
- Do not use for commercial or industrial purposes.
Product Description
The Garden Controller Home, Cloud is a control system for electrical garden
equipment such as lights, filters or pumps. It is operated using the free app
“OASE Control” for tablets or smartphones.
The control system is available in the versions Home and Cloud.
- In version Home it is accessible on your WiFi network.
- In version Cloud it is accessible on your WiFi network, but also worldwide via the free OASE Cloud.
The Garden Controller Home, Cloud can be used to control up to 10 OASE
Control-compatible devices.

Operating conditions indicated by the Status LED

Flashing slowly (2 s on, 1 s oFF)| The Garden Controller Home, Cloud is
attempting to establish a con- section to the router. This can take several
minutes.
· IF no connection is Found, check the WiFi connection. IF necessary, reduce
the distance between the Garden Controller Home, Cloud and the router.
Red| Flashing| An internal error has occurred; recommended procedure:
· Disconnect the power supply, wait For approx. 10 seconds, then re-
establish the power supply.
· IF the error remains active, …
– use the “OASE Control” app to check For new Firmware. IF neces- sary,
install new Firmware.
– reset the device to its Factory settings and restart it. (→ Service button
Functions)

Service button functions
Operation | Description |
---|---|
Press and hold For 5 seconds until the status LED begins to Flash in green. |
Resetting the network settings
· The network settings are reset to the delivery default settings.
· All other settings are maintained (e.g. device list and device set-
tings).
· During resetting, the status LED First Flashes quickly in green, then
lights up in yellow.
Press and hold For 15 seconds until the status LED begins to Flash quickly For
the second time (aFter 5 seconds it will Flash For the First time, see
above).| Reset to Factory deFault settings
· All settings are reset to the delivery deFault settings.
· During resetting, the status LED First Flashes quickly in green, then
lights up in yellow.

Installation
WARNING
The power supply carries dangerous electrical voltage and must not be placed
directly near water.
Otherwise, there is a risk of serious injury or death from electric shock.
- Install the power supply in a flood-protected position at least 2 m from the water.
Connection
Connecting an OASE Control-compatible unit
On OASE Control-network …

may consist of a max. 10 units.

may be max. 100 m long.
OASE Control-Connection cables of the following lengths are available as accessories: 2.5 m (article number 47038), 5 m (47039), 10 m (47040) and 30 m (72713) -
must end at the last unit with the OASE Control-terminal resistor (R).

Connecting
NOTE
** The unit will be damaged if water enters a connection.
- The rubber seal of the plug connector must be clean and must fit exactly.
- If the rubber seal is damaged, it must be replaced. If the connection is disconnected, an olderubber seal (> 2 years) must be replaced.
- Always secure the plug connection with 2 screws.

Commissioning/start-up Switching ON/OFF

Switching on: Plug the power plug into the outlet.
– The unit switches on immediately. -
Switching off: Pull the power plug from the outlet.
Installing the “OASE Control” app
The “OASE Control” App must be installed on your Smartphone/tablet for
commissioning and operating the unit.
The operating systems iOS 12.0 (Apple) or Android 7.0 or newer are required to
operate the App on mobile devices.
How to proceed:
- Install the App “OASE Control” via the App store of your operating system (iOS or Android).
- Open the App “OASE Control” and follow the instructions.
- When you first open the App, you will be asked to create your own free OAS Account. The account allows you to easily use multiple smart devices. All settings are automatically synchronized via your account.
Establishing a connection
For operating, the Garden Controller Home, Cloud and the Smartphone/Tablet must be connected via a WiFi network.

establishes a wireless connection to a WiFi network router.
Direct connection (Ad-hoc connection)| Only recommended if no WiFi network
router signal is available at the in- stellation site.
The Garden Controller Home, Cloud creates its own WiFi network (SSID and
password see type plate). Please note:
· The Garden Controller Home, Cloud can only be operated with the aid of a
mobile device (smartphone/tablet) if the mobile device is connected to its
WiFi network.
· As there is no internet access, Cloud Functions will not be available.
· Most mobile devices will automatically switch to the new WiFi network if
they detect a known WiFi network with internet access.

Updating the firmware
When the OASE Control-App connects with the Garden Controller Home, Cloud it
is automatically checked whether its firmware is up to date. If the firmware
is new, you will be notified via the App. Follow the instructions. If you are
asked for a password, enter
“oase1234”.
**** Automatic updates of the OASE App should be allowed on the
Smartphone/tablet.
Maintenance and cleaning
Cleaning the device
Clean the unit with a soft, clean and dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions. These can attach the housing surface or impair
the function.

Malfunction | Possible cause | Remedy |

A WiFi connection between the Garden Controller Home, Cloud and the router
cannot be established.| The WiFi standard set in the router is not
compatible.| The Garden Controller Home, Cloud supports the WiFi standards
802.11 n+b+g exclusively in a Frequency range of 2.4 Ghz.
IF necessary, set the router to a supported standard (see router operating
manual).
The WiFi connection to the Garden Controller Home, Cloud is not established
although the network name is displayed in the WiFi set- tings.| The most
recently saved connection data (e.g. SSID, password) is not up to date.| Reset
the connection. iOS:
· Select the network and tap i.
· Tap “Ignore this network” to re- move the network.
· Then re-establish a connection with the network.
Android:
· Select the network and tap “Re- move” to remove the network.
· Then re-establish a connection with the network.
The Garden Controller Home, Cloud does not react to commands and displays “of
Fline”.| Only “Home” version:
WiFi on the Smartphone/tablet is deactivated.| Activate WiFi on the
smartphone/tablet.

The unit has no connection to the Cloud.| Check the Cloud connection pa-

Power supply of the Garden Controller Home, Cloud interrupted.| Establish the

Receiver in Garden Controller Home, Cloud defectives.| Contact the OASE
service.
“OASE Control” app is outdated.| Install the latest version of the app on your
smartphone/tablet.
The Garden Controller Home, Cloud- Firmware is outdated| Update the Firmware.
The operating system of the smartphone/tablet is outdated.| Update the
operating system.
Garden Controller Home, Cloud switches at the wrong time.| The system time of
the Garden Controller Home, Cloud does not match the actual time.| Update the
system time to the time on the operating device.
Malfunction of the OASE control function:
