  1. Make the dual jacket as small as possible and keep a maximum length of 1.2 cm / 0.47 Inches.
  2. Remove the aramid yarn inside the second jacket.
  3. Cut the rigid strength member to a length of 4.5 +0/-0.5 cm / 1.7 +0/-0.2 Inches.
  4. Clean the subunits and remove all grease.
  5. Remove the subunit tube to access the fiber. (Refer to the closure installation instructions for the stripping point of the subunit.)

Strip silicone tape installation:

  1. Use the strip silicone tape provided in the kit: 6.5 X 1.25 cm / 2.56 X 0.5 Inches.
  2. Ensure your hands are clean and degreased before preparing and installing the cables.
  3. Degrease the cable where it will enter the closure.
  4. Make a mark on the cable 2 cm / 0.79 Inches from the jacket end.
  5. Apply the silicone tape between the mark and the jacket end. Remove the protective paper.
  6. Stretch the tape a minimum of 50% while wrapping it around the cable.
  7. First, apply a full turn around the cable, then continue to cover up to the jacket end.
  8. Make one turn at the end point and come back with the remaining tape.

Install strain relief on drop cable:

  1. Slide the strength member connector onto the carrier until you hear a clicking sound.
  2. Install the cable ties in the slots in the carrier, making sure the teeth of the cable tie are facing upwards.
  3. Slide the rigid strength member in the strength member connector between the metal spring and the housing of the strength member connector. Verify that the strength member fits all the way to the end of the lug.
  4. Secure the screw with a Phillips screwdriver.
  5. Tighten the two cable ties, ensuring that the cable tie head is positioned on top of the cable. A cable tie gun can be used with a recommended force of 85N. Cut off excess cable tie strap.

Install drop cable:
To secure the cable to the organizer, the three hooks on the rear side of the carrier should slide into the three slots on the interface plate on the organizer. The top left slot has a locking lip to keep the cable – carrier assembly in place.

  1. Slide the carrier with the cable secured into the slots of the organizer. Push the locking lip in the first slot backward.
  2. Slide the carrier downwards.
  3. The locking lip returns to its original position and the carrier is correctly seated. A clicking sound is observed.

Remove carrier:

  1. Position the fiber guidance pen in the little cavity in the locking lip of the first slot and push the locking lip backward.
  2. When the lock is released, lift the carrier.
