Product Usage Instructions

How to resize the collar:

Using the slide buckle, adjust the length of the collar strap to fit your dog. You may need to remove soft points to reduce the collar size. After adjusting the collar length, replace as many removed soft points as you can. Add the remaining soft points to the inner strap of the loop created by the slide buckle.

Check your fit:

To check the fit, pull lightly on the Martingale loop and observe the two slide rings holding the loop:

  • If the rings move toward one another but stop an inch apart, the collar is fit correctly.
  • If the rings slide together easily, the collar is too loose.

The collar should feel slightly loose when properly fit. This is to ensure the Martingale loop has enough room to tighten and provide even pressure to correct pulling.

How to use the collar:

  1. Attach your dog’s leash to the D-ring on the Martingale loop and take your dog for a walk.
  2. When your dog pulls, stop walking and wait for your dog to return to your side. Do not tug on the leash; instead, let your dog’s pulling and the Soft Point Training Collar do the work for you.
  3. Reward good behavior with treats and praise.
  4. Remove the collar after each training session or walk to give your dog a break.

How the Soft Point Training Collar works

When your dog pulls against the leash, the soft points press inward evenly, creating steady pressure that is safe, but difficult to ignore. Pressure is relieved when your dog stops pulling. The Soft Point Training Collar is a safer alternative to traditional prong collars that is effective with consistent, regular use.
How the Soft Point Training Collar works: Measure high around your dog’s neck just behind the ears.
