Product Usage Instructions

• Before installing the USB Receptacle, ensure that the power is turned off at the circuit breaker. Read and understand the installation instructions provided in this manual.
• The installation should be performed in accordance with the National Electric Code and local regulations. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the installation.
• Follow these steps to wire the USB Charger:

Step 1: Turn off the Power

• Make sure to turn off the circuit breaker or fuse(s) and ensure that the power is off before wiring the device.

Step 2: Use Copper Wires

• Use copper wires only for wiring the USB Receptacle.

Step 3: Outlet Compatibility

• Note that this USB Receptacle cannot be used if the outlet being
  replaced has the top and bottom outlets controlled by separate circuit breakers.

Step 4: Wiring Directions

• Follow the wiring directions provided in the manual to correctly install the USB Receptacle.

Step 5: Compatibility

Step 6: Replacing Face Cover

• To replace the face cover, use a flat screwdriver to pry off the interchangeable cover.

Use copper wires only

• This USB receptacle CANNOT be used if the outlet you are replacing has the top and bottom outlets controlled by separate circuit breakers.

WIRING DIRECTIONS

There are two ways to wire the receptacle:

1. Loop wire around terminal screws and firmly tighten terminal screw.
2. Insert wire(s) through terminal holes in the back, then tighten terminal screws. Use this method when attaching 2 wires to the same terminal.

• Connect BLACK/HOT wire to the HOT terminal (brass screw).
• Connect WHITE/NEUTRAL wire to the NEUTRAL terminal (silver screw)
• Connect the GREEN/GROUND wire to the GROUND terminal (green screw).
