Introduce the DVR:
The DVR is the central component of the EZFIX Security Video DVR System. It features various ports for connecting cameras, monitors, and other devices. The DVR also has LED indicators for easy monitoring.

Introduce the Cameras:
The cameras included in the system are equipped with lenses, mounts, warm light power ports, and BNC ports. They are designed to provide clear and reliable video surveillance.

Connection Diagram:
Refer to the connection diagram to properly connect the cameras, DVR, and other components. Make sure to avoid high voltage sources or other sources of electrical interference near the cameras to ensure optimal video signal quality.

Set up the DVR System:
When starting the DVR for the first time, you need to log in to the system using the provided user name and password. The default user name is “admin” and the password is blank. It is recommended to change the password after the initial login for security purposes.
Note: If the password is entered incorrectly 5 times in a row, an alarm will be triggered. In such cases, please contact our after-sales support team.

Basic Operation – Main Menu:

• The main menu allows you to perform various functions on the DVR system. You can make queries, start playback, configure recording settings, detect connected storage devices, perform backups, burn files, erase files, and stop backups.
• For detailed instructions on each function, refer to the user manual.
• By following these instructions, you can effectively set up and use the EZFIX Security Video DVR System to enhance your security and surveillance capabilities.

Connection Diagram

To ensure all components work properly, it is recommended that you connect every part and try to run the system before a final installation. WHAT DO YOU NEED BEFORE STARTING?

• A monitor or television.
• A VGA cable or an HDMI cable.
• A Network Cable
• An outlet device with a surge protector.
  Note: Do not install the camera near high voltage sources or other sources of electrical interference, otherwise the video signal may be poor.
  Before powering on the DVR, please make sure all the connections have been made correctly.

Set up the DVR System

• When starting the DVR, the user must log in to the system that provides the corresponding functions of the DVR device. There are two types of user admin and guest;
• User Name: admin Password: (blank)
• Then it will promote to change the password.(Login the first time suggest you change the password)
  Note: Password protection: If the password is continuous wrong 5 times, the alarm will start. Please contact our after-sell server team.

BASIC OPERATION

MAIN MENU

RECORD

• Playback
  There are two paths for you to play the video files:

1. In the desktop context menu (PlayBack)
2. Main Menu> Record> Playback  

Make a query by selecting the day, time and type of event,Select the day to search, then in the timeline at the bottom select an approximate time and Start playback by clicking on the play icon.
Note: The type of event depends on the recording configuration, it is recommended to perform a full search activating the “all” option.

• Record
  There are two paths for you to record video files.

1. In the desktop context menu (Record Mode)
2. Main menu> Record> Record  

The recording settings include recording duration, time setting, timer setting, time period etc
Schedule: Recording according to the configuration in the calendar. Manual: Click the button and all channels will start recording. Stop: Click the selected channel to stop recording.

• Backup
  • Backup: You can download files by connecting an external storage device USB or Disk (maximum of 500 GB)
  • Detect: Click to detect the storage device connected with the DVR such as hard drive or external memory.
  • Backup: Click the backup button, you can choose the backup file from according to type, channel and time.
  • Burning: The files will be recorded synchronously after clicking it. Erase: Choose the file you want to delete and click the delete button to delete the file.
  • Stop: Select to stop the backup.
  • Type: Select all file types.
  • Channel: Select the channel or channels you want to search.
  • Start time: Enter the date and time you want to search.
  • End time: enter the information after the start date according to the searched range.
  • Delete: It will delete the information of the selected file.
  • Add: Show the information of the file that meets the search attributes. Backup Format: Preferably select AVI.
  • Start/Cancel: Click to start backup and click pause button to pause the backup.

ALARM

• ALARM/ ABNORMALITY SETTING
  You can configure or adjust the above parameters: activate or deactivate motion detection, launch an alert and adjust the sensitivity area, video loss, alarm input and alarm output by adjusting the types of outputs, in abnormality you can adjust an event to trigger an alarm on the DVR. can trigger alarms for disk not detected, disk error, disk full, network disconnection, and IP conflicts.

SYSTEM

• GENERAL: Make settings such as: time, date, time zone, time format, date format, language, enable or disable overwrite recording on disc, set video format PAL or NTSC (Default must be in NTSC mode), and finally assign a name to the device. ENCODING: Make image quality and resolution adjustments per channel, you can also activate the audio recording (it must have a built-in microphone in the cameras or externally).
• NETWORK: Configure or adjust the following parameters: Obtain an address automatically or DHCP, adjust IP configuration with the information provided by the internet provider, network ports and video transfer preference. You can select the DHCP option to take a local IP automatically, or set the fixed IP and network parameters provided by the internet provider.
• INTERFACE: Make settings such as: Edit channel name, display time, channel title, status recording, adjust output resolution, display time on screen.
• PTZ CONFIGURATION: Set the necessary protocols for the operation of PTZ-type cameras
• NTP, RSTP (this is the port for the App), cloud connection status. RS232: Setting of serial port functions and BaudRate
• TOUR: Activate the cyclical rotation of the cameras on the screen with adjustable time intervals.
• CHANGE: Adjust channel mode, and parameter setting, view the current status of digital channels.

SPECIAL OPERATIONS:

• MOTION DETECTION: When the system detects movement signal that arrives according to the Sensitivity adjusted to each channel.
• The path to enable detection is: Main Menu > Alarm > Motion Detect > Active.

USER ACCOUNT:

• Modify User: Modify the existing user attribute, select the user with a click on the box before the name.
• Modify group: Modify the attribute of the existing group.
• Modify password: Modify the user password. You can set a password of 6 characters. White space is not a valid character. Put the old password that by default the DVR comes without password, assign the new password and confirm it.
• Add User: Add a user in the group and set the user scope. Enter the interface menu and enter the username and password. Choose the group and choose the type of user. You can select permissions and control restrictions for each user such as: Turning off the computer,real-time surveillance, playback, recording setting, video backup and so on.

EMAIL SEND CONFIGURATION:

• If the alarm is activated, it will send an email with the alarm information to the address designated.
  • Path: Menu Home > System > Network>Network Services > Email (double click)
  • SMTP Server: Email server address. It could be an IP address or domain name.
• The domain name can be translated only if it is the correct DNS configuration.
  • Port: Port number of the email server.
  • SSL: Decide whether to use the Secure Socket Layer protocol to log in. Username: Apply the username of the email server.
  • Password: Enter the password corresponding to the user.
  • Sender: Set the email sender address.
  • Receiver: Send the email to designated receivers when the alarm is triggered.
  • Title: Can be set as you like.

NETWORK SETTINGS:

• You can make the configuration through the fixed IP service (this information must be provided by the internet provider) or through the Cloud.
• Follow the path below: Main Menu > System > Network
  Note: The DVR must be connected via cable to the main modem of the internet service.

VIA FIXED IP:

• Network Card: You can choose the cable network card to edit the information provided by your internet operator or wireless network card (if your model has this).
• DHCP: Obtain IP address automatically
• IP Address: Set the IP address.
• Subnet Mask: Set the subnet mask code.
  • Default: 255.255.255.0.
  • Gateway: Default gateway.
• DNS : Domain Name Server. Domain name in IP addresses. The IP address is offered by the provider network. The address must be set and then reset for it to work.
• TCP Port: Default: 34567.
• HTTP port: Default: 80.
• Transfer policy: There are three strategies: self-adaptation, image quality and fluency. The flow of code will be adjusted according to the settings. Self-adaptation is the balance between the priority of image quality and fluency precedence. Video quality with low fluency or Fluency with low quality of video.

INSTANT RECORDING:
Connect a USB stick to the DVR, click on the camera you want and at the top will appear two icons, click the right one to start an instant recording on the USB stick, click the button again to stop recording, after confirmation video files will be saved in.H265 format in the USB disk as shown below:

Set up the DVR System

1. On the DVR Open [main menu] – [ system] – [ Network] – [NETWORK services] and [Cloud].
   The another way: Through [main menu] -guide page ,your can find the QR code .

2. Download and launch the Rview pro APP in Google Play or App Store
   Register your username and password, or you can also do a local test by clicking on local, then in the main interface select the top left icon“+”.(add device) will appear You can scan the Serial ID QR code in the guide menu, then register the username and password that you has provided to the DVR.
   Note: by default the user is “admin and empty password”Select the number of channels in this case 4 and click on Add device.

• The DVR should not be installed where there is dust, and the environment should be kept clean.
• When using the DVR, ensure and guarantee a correct ground connection.
