PRIME A620M-A
The PRIME A620M-A is a motherboard designed for use with AMD A620 processors. It supports DDR5 DIMM modules and has several expansion slots for peripherals, including PCI Express and M.2 sockets. The motherboard features a variety of ports for connecting displays, USB devices, and other peripherals.
Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Install the CPU
To install the CPU, follow these steps:
- Locate the CPU socket on the motherboard.
- Open the socket by gently lifting the lever.
- Align the notches on the CPU with those on the socket and gently place it into the socket.
- Lower the lever to secure the CPU in place.
Step 2: Install the CPU fan
The PRIME A620M-A supports two types of CPU fans. Follow the instructions below for the type of fan you have:
Type 1 Fan
- Locate the CPU fan header on the motherboard.
- Connect the fan cable to the header.
Type 2 Fan
- Attach the fan clips to the fan.
- Align the clips with the notches on the CPU socket.
- Gently press down on each clip until it clicks into place.
- Connect the fan cable to the CPU fan header on the motherboard.
Step 3: Install Memory Modules
To install DDR5 DIMM memory modules, follow these steps:
- Locate the memory slots on the motherboard.
- Press down on the clips at each end of the slot to open them.
- Align the notches on the memory module with those on the slot and gently place it into the slot.
- Push down on the module until the clips snap into place.
Step 4: Install Storage Devices
To install storage devices, follow these steps:
- Locate the SATA ports on the motherboard.
- Connect one end of a SATA cable to a port on the motherboard and the other end to a storage device.
Step 5: Connect Peripherals
Install expansion card(s)
The PRIME A620M-A has a variety of ports for connecting peripherals. Follow the instructions below for each type of peripheral:
Displays
The motherboard supports HDMI, VGA, and DP displays. Connect your display to the appropriate port using a compatible cable.
USB Devices
The motherboard has several USB ports. Connect your USB device to a port using a compatible cable.
Audio Devices
The motherboard has an audio codec and AAFP port for connecting audio devices. Connect your audio device to the port using a compatible cable.
Step 6: Connect Power Supply Cables
Install the system panel connector
The PRIME A620M-A requires power from an ATX power supply.
Connect the following cables from your power supply to the corresponding ports
on the motherboard:
- 24-pin ATX power connector
- 8-pin ATX 12V power connector
Step 7: Complete Installation
Install ATX power connectors
Double-check all connections and ensure that all components are securely installed. Close the case and connect any necessary peripherals. Power on the system to begin using your PRIME A620M-A motherboard.
