Wiring Directions
- Connect the BLACK wire on the switch to the HOT wire.
- Connect the WHITE wire on the switch to the NEUTRAL wire.
- Connect the Red wire on the switch to the LOAD wire.
Specifications
The HMT01N is a 24-hour mechanical timer that is easy to use. It has three colored wires that simplify the replacement of an existing switch/timer. The pins are built onto the Timer, reducing the chance of losing them. The dial is a mechanical clock, making it quick and easy to set the time.

Warnings
Before installing the Timer, turn off the power at the circuit breaker. It is recommended to have a qualified electrician perform the installation. Use Copper wires ONLY.
Product Usage Instructions
Setting/Operating
- Each pin on the Timer represents 30 minutes. Shaded numbers on the dial are for PM, and unshaded numbers are for AM.
- Example: To turn OFF the Load for 1 hour and 30 minutes starting from 8 PM and turn ON the Load at 9:30 PM, pull the 3 pins outwards that correspond with the Shaded 8 through 9.

DESCRIPTION
- The HMT01N is a 24-hour mechanical timer that is very easy to use and the three colored wires make it very easy to replace an existing switch/ timer.
- The pins are built onto the Timer, which reduces the chance of losing pins.
- The dial itself is a mechanical clock, so setting the time is quick and easy.

WARNING
- Turn the POWER OFF at the circuit breaker before installing the Timer
- Read and understand these instructions before installing. It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform this installation. Make sure to turn off the circuit breaker or fuse(s) and make sure the power is off before wiring the device.
- This device is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electric Code and local regulations.
- Use Copper wires ONLY.
WIRING DIRECTIONS
- Connect the BLACK wire on a switch to the HOT wire.
- Connect the WHITE wire on the switch to the NEUTRAL wire.
- Connect the Red wire on a switch to the LOAD wire.
SETTING/ OPERATING
- Set the Clock: Turn the dial until the “Current Time Pointer” points to the actual time.
- Set the ON/OFF times: Using the “Timer ON/OFF Pins, Pull outwards, the pins that correspond with the desired OFF time. Push inwards, the pins that correspond with the desired ON time.
- NOTE: Each pin represents 30 Minutes. Shaded numbers are for PM and unshaded numbers are for AM.
Example: Pulling the 3 pins outwards that correspond with the Shaded 8 through 9 will turn OFF the Load for 1 hour and 30 minutes starting from 8 PM and turning ON the Load at 9:30 PM.
ON/OFF/TIMER SWITCH:
- ON Position overrides the Timer schedule and turns the Load ON.
- OFF Position overrides the Timer schedule and turns the Load OFF.
- TIMER Position automates the Load ON/OFF according to the PIN settings.
