ELESTYLE SM6405 Stand Mixer Instruction Manual

INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Before using for the first time, kindly take time to carefully read your instruction manual. Please observe all safety precautions and follow operating procedures. After reading, kindly store your instruction manual in a safe place for your future reference. Should you pass on this Stand Mixer to a third party, please hand over this instruction manual as well.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using your Stand Mixer, basic safety precautions should always be followed:

  1. Carefully read the instructions before using your appliance.
  2. Always operate your Stand Mixer from a power source of the same voltage and frequency rating as indicated on the rating label.
  3. Do not operate or place any part of your Stand Mixer on or near any hot surface such as a gas or electric burner, hotplate or heated oven.
  4. Do not operate the Stand Mixer if any part of it has been damaged. Return the  appliance to the nearest authorized dealer or service facility for repair.
  5. Make sure that the switch of the Stand Mixer is turned to OFF before plugging and unplugging cord from the outlet.
  6. Do not use or replace accessories of the Stand Mixer other than the ones originally provided.
  7. Never leave the Stand Mixer unattended when in use.
  8. Never touch the dough hook, flat beater, or the whisk with your hand, use spatula or any other object during operation.
  9. Do not use whisk for mixing hard ingredients.
  10. Never use mixing and grinding function simultaneously. Use one function at a time.
  11. Do not operate Stand Mixer for 5 minutes at stretch when using 1-5 mixer controls. Do not exceed 1 minute operating time while mixing at level 6 or pulse speed. Turn OFF and allow unit to rest for a minute before turning ON again.
  12. Switch OFF and unplug the Stand Mixer from outlet when not in use or before  cleaning.
  13. Hold plug when unplugging from socket. Do not unplug by pulling the supply  cord.
  14. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the Stand Mixer  to rain, moisture or any liquid.
  15. Keep out of reach from children or from persons with mental or physical disabilities
  16. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the  appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  17. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are aged from 8 years and above and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
  18. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  19. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  20. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
  21. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  22. Warning: Potential injury from misuse. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the food processor or blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.
  23. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
    • farm houses;
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
    • bed and breakfast type environments.
  24. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
  25. This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

HOW TO USE

**STAND MIXER ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS

**

  1. Tilt mixer head by rotating down head lock knob until it points to the unlock marking. (FIG 2)

  2. Rest Mixer Bowl on the Bowl Slot then rotate counter-clockwise until the  bowl locks in place. (FIG 3)

  3. Push Whisk, Dough Hook, or Flat Beater into the Shaft then rotate clockwise until it locks in place. **(FIG4 & FIG5)

  1. Twist head lock knob downward then push down Mixer Head, release head lock switch to lock mixer head in place. (FIG 6)

  2. During preparation, you can add ingredients to the Bowl.

  3. Place the appliance on a flat, clean and dry surface and then plug in your appliance.

MIXING GUIDE

SPEED DESCRIPTION
1 (Fold) starting speed for bulk and dry ingredients such as flour,

butter, and potatoes
2 (Blend)| used for mixing liquid ingredients such as salad dressing
3 (Mix)| for mixing cakes, cookies and quick breads
4 (Cream)| for creaming butter and sugar, beating uncooked candies, desserts and etc
5 (Whip)| for beating or whipping eggs, cooked icings, whipping cream, potatoes and etc
6 (Fast Whip)| used for beating or whipping eggs, cooked icings and etc. at much higher speed – especially for mixtures at small amounts
PULSE| used for high-speed controlled cycle mixing

CLEAN AND CARE

  • Remove wire whisk, dough hook, flat beater, and the mixing bowl or other accessories from the unit.
  • Wash mixing bowl, wire whisk, dough hook, and flat beater or other accessories with warm and soapy water.
  • Wipe motor housing of the mixer using a soft and damp cloth.
  • Never allow mixer motor to get penetrated by water.
  • Wipe dry all parts using a soft and dry cloth.
  • Do not use harsh cleaning agents or abrasive objects (e.g. scrubbing pads or metal brushes) for cleaning.
  • Put back parts and accessories of the mixer to their proper places before operating again.
  • Store mixer in a cool and dry place.

Disposal

Never dispose of the appliance in your Norma domestic waste. This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance via an approved disposal company or your municipal waste facility. Please  observe the currently applicable regulations. Please contact your waste disposal center if you are in any doubt.

Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to dispose of the product.

Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material components for disposal if necessary. The packaging material is labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings: 1–7: plastics, 20–22: paper and cardboard, 80– 98: composites

The packaging is made from environmentally friendly material and can be disposed of at your local recycling plant.
