Product Information

• Product Name: IUC1HV-D In-Use Weatherproof Enclosure.
• Product Description: This Gang In-Use Horizontal/Vertical Weatherproof Enclosure is designed for outdoor or wet locations. It is built to withstand any season and provides protection for receptacles while in use for unattended applications.
• The enclosure is UL-listed, NEMA 3R rated, and meets National Electrical Code requirements covered by Article 410-57(b) and NEC-210-60(b).

Product Usage Instructions

1. Disconnect power to the receptacle at the circuit breaker panel before installing.
2. If installing on an existing receptacle, remove and discard the existing cover, plate, and gasket.
3. Position the gasket as required after removing the appropriate perforated sections. It can be temporarily held onto the back of the base using the mounting hardware provided.
4. Align the receptacle and support bracket with the junction box, then attach the assembly to the junction box using the screws provided. Ensure that the hinges are located at the top for weatherproof protection. If mounting to an outdoor junction box, use the remaining screws to further secure the base assembly to the junction box. For specially designed junction boxes, drill mounting holes to line up with the hole in the box.
5. Ensure all screws are firmly secured but not over-tightened.
6. Depending on the position of the enclosure, for power cord placement, remove the two plastic fillers from the horizontal mount and place them into the vertical mount or vice versa.
7. To open, bend back the plastic latch while lifting the cover. A hasp is provided for padlocking.

It is recommended that a qualified electrician perform this installation. Make sure to turn off the circuit breaker or fuse(s) and make sure the power is off before wiring the device

INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS
