OPERATING THE TIMER

OPERATING MODES
OFF – Power is OFF to attached devices.
ON – Power is ON to attached devices
Dusk _ Dusk-Dawn  – Power willturm on at dusk and remain on Dawn” untl dawn
2 H – Power il turm on at dusk and remain on for 2 hours
4 H – Power il turm on at dusk and remain on for 4 hours
6 H – Power il turm on at dusk and remain on for 6 hours
8 H – Power il turm on at dusk and remain on for 8 hours

Turn the dial to align your desired operating mode with the white arrow.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • PROBLEM:
    Devices do not tum on at dusk.

    • POSSIBLE CAUSE:
      Timer is located in an area wih too much ambient ight for the photocell to sense darkness.

    • CORRECTIVE ACTION:
      Move the timer to ancther location whera there is no ‘ambient lght

  • PROBLEM:
    Devices do not turn on when the timeris in the “ON’ posiion

    • POSSIBLE CAUSE:
      Connected devices are notin the “ON” position o are not functioning. Light bulbs need to be replaced.

    • CORRECTIVE ACTION:
      Ensure the connected devices are functional by plugging them directly into the outet. Be sure the connected devices are n the “ON” positon i they have their own switch. Make sure the outet the timer is plugged into s active – the LED should light up when  plugged into an outlet and in the “ON’ positio. Check the bulbs and replace if necessary.

  • PROBLEM:
    Lights are flashing (turning on and of.

    • POSSIBLE CAUSE:
      Timer is in Dusk-to-Dawn mode and light from connected lights is affecting the photacelL

    • CORRECTIVE ACTION:
      Move the lights away from the timer,of reposition the timer 5o it does not face the lights directl.

  • PROBLEM:
    Timer power indicator lightis not ‘on’

    • POSSIBLE CAUSE:
      Timer s not fully plugged info the outlet. Circut breaker connected to the oulet has iripped

    • CORRECTIVE ACTION:
      Make sure the timer is fullyplugged into the outet.
      Check the circult breaker connected o the oullet and reset itif noeded.

HELPFUL TIPS

  • This timer is weather-resistant and rated for outdoor use. The timer will function outdoors when instalied and operated as outined i this manual
  • This timer operates using a light-sensitive photocell that senses when the environment s getiing dark (dusk) or light (dawn). The photocell is located on the leftof the face of the timer.
  • Once programming acivates at dusk n the 2hr, 4hr, 6hr or Bhr mode, the program cycle will complete bofore the timer resets Headiights. porch lights, street lamps and other external lighting sources will not interfere with the active tmer prograr.
  • In the duskto-dawn mode, temporary light sources ke headiights, porch lights and other extenal light sources will not inerfere with the photocell function uless the external light source is on for more than 15 minutes. In that case, the timer will shut off unt  darkness s restored.
  • When set {0 “ON”, the timer wil provide continual power to attached devices Ui the tmer is swilched to “OFF”, or to any of the other operating modes.
  • Do not place the timer hidden in bushes where it won’t sense daylight
  • It may take unil complete arkness for the photocellto turn on power (to the timer.
  • Do not use extension cords to connect the timer to the power source.

FOR USE OUTDOORS AND MUST BE PLUGGED INTO A GFCI (GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER),

This is a “GROUNDED” device. The male plug contains a ground pin and s only intended for use with a three-pronged grounded outlet, This device is for use with a 125 VAC power source.

This timer has an eye-hole in the cord sirain relef from which to securely hang it close to the outdoor electrical outiet

  1. INSTALL TIMER to a vertical fiat surface close 10 a properly instalied outdoor-rated grounded receptacle
    a. Using a screw or hook (not included). secure the MOUNTING TAB at the top. of the timer to a wall or post. (Fig.2)
