IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

| Carefully read all instructions before the operation and save for future reference.

| Check if the voltage indicated on the rating plate of the appliance corresponds of the voltage you have. You are advised not to use a multiple adapter plug or extension cord.
| Do not place the kettle near the edge of a table or kitchen counter. Ensure that the surface is flat, clean, and dry.
| Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven. This can cause possible damage.
| Always ensure the kettle is assembled correctly before operating, and filled with water before connecting to a power outlet.
| Unplug from outlet when not in use. Allow cooling for a couple of minutes before cleaning the appliance.
| Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Please use and keep the kettle and its supply cord out of the reach of children.
| Do not use outdoors.
| When operating the kettle for the first time, pour the initial boiled water out. After the water is poured out, the kettle is ready for use
| Do not immerse cord, plug, base, or kettle in water or other liquids. This can cause fire, electric shock, and severe injuries.
| CAUTION: We do not recommend using an extension cord, but if it is necessary, a proper gauge extension cord rated for the appropriate voltage/current must be used. Please pay extra attention that nobody trips over the extension cord and that it is not overheating!

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • This appliance has been designed for boiling and heating water only. Do not use this appliance to boil or heat any other liquids.
  • Fill the kettle with water only to the “MAX” fill line. Do not overfill.
  • Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or work surface to prevent the appliance from falling.
  • Do not operate the appliance with a defective cord or plug. Return it to the nearest authorized service center for examina- tion, repair or adjustment.
  • Remove the plug from the outlet immediately if you notice that the kettle is not operating correctly.
  • Do not pull on the power cord to remove the plug. This can cause damage to the unit.

OPERATING

  1. Remove the kettle from the power base and open the lid by pressing the lid release button on top of the kettle. Fill with the desired amount of water. NOTE: Always fill the kettle between the minimum “MIN” and maximum “MAX” fill water lines. Filing below the minimum water line will result in the kettle automaticity switching off. If the water is above the maximum fill line, boiling water may spill out.
  2. Place the kettle securely onto the power base and check that the lid is closed correctly before use.
  3. Plug the kettle into the outlet.
  4. To start the kettle, press down the ON/OFF switch, and the blue indicator lamp will light up. The kettle will begin to heat up.
  5. The kettle will automatically switch OFF when the water has boiled. You can stop it manually by pressing the ON/OFF switch, before removing it from its power base to pour out the water. NOTE: Allow the kettle to cool down for a couple of minutes before re-filling.

CARE & CLEANING

Cleaning the kettle
Before cleaning the kettle, read the “Important Safeguards” carefully.

  1. Unplug the kettle from the power outlet. Allow the kettle to cool down completely before cleaning.
  2. Wipe the body of the kettle with a damp cloth and dry completely with a soft dry cloth. NOTE: Never immerse the kettle, its base, or the cord/electric plug-in water. The electrical connections or the switch must not come into contact with water. NOTE: Do not use scouring pads. This can cause damage to the unit.
  3. Clean the kettle with gentle dish soap. We do not recommend using strong chemicals such as acid or cleansers.
  4. Descale the kettle regularly.

De-scaling
Make sure to de-scale regularly. We recommend once a month or more if your water is very hard.

  1. Fill the kettle to the “MAX” fill line with white vinegar and let it stand for 1 hour.
    DO NOT turn on the kettle while m vinegar is in the pot.

  2. Pour vinegar out and fill the kettle with water to the “MAX” fill line and then boil the water.

  3. Empty the kettle and rinse 5 or 6 times.

Storage
Ensure the kettle is switched off, clean and dry before storing.
Ensure the lid is firmly closed then stand the kettle in an upright position on the power base. Do not place anything on top.
