Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Setup
Before operating the equipment, please follow these setup instructions:

1. Ensure that your TV has an HDMI ARC interface and supports TVs with HDMI ARC function.
2. Turn on the CEC function of your TV to enable volume control (only supports RCAL/R and 3.5mm output interfaces).
3. Connect the PROZOR DAC output to a low-impedance cellphone headset, headphone amplifier, or power amplifier if the volume is not loud enough.
4. Use a standard 19 + 1 HDMI cable to connect the PROZOR PRR025 to your TV’s HDMI ARC interface.

Step 2: TV Operation
Follow these steps to ensure proper audio output from your TV:

1. Set the audio format to HDMI ARC on your TV’s path settings.

   • For Samsung TV:

2. Adjust the volume using the remote control of your TV. Note that the appearance of a volume control bar depends on the TV brand.

3. If the output volume of the 3.5mm/RCA interface is lower than that of the optical interface, use the remote control to increase the volume.

4. Ensure that the TV speakers are set to make sound synchronously with the product based on your TV settings.

Common Fault Diagnosis and Processing Methods
If you encounter any common faults, refer to the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Non-Power-Connected: Check whether the power light is on and ensure that the power supply or power cable is properly connected to the power connector. The power supply should be DC 5V with a current of at least 500mA.
2. RCA Port/Headphone Port Noise: Set the TV to stereo output (PCM/LPCM 2-channel output).
3. Non 5.1 Audio Output with Optical: Check whether the movie supports 5.1 audio and whether the TV is set to Dolby 5.1 output. If the TV is set to PCM output, only 2.0 audio will be available. Adjust the audio output format to Dolby 5.1 output.

Thank you for showing your confidence in us by purchasing the PRR025. This manual contains important instructions for setting up and operating your equipment. Please take a few minutes to read the instructions below carefully before operating the equipment. Please keep the manual for future reference.

This HDMI ARC Audio Converter can transmit audio from ARC-enabled TV to adapter’s optical, 3.5mm headphone audio via HDMI/ARC interface. Meanwhile, the Dolby AC-3 DTS 5.1CH digital audio signals are converted to stereo analog signals and all can be simultaneously outputted, which perfectly solves the problem that TV without analog audio output and optical interface cannot be connected to the sound system. The product is ideal for home theaters, teaching, training institutions, conference rooms, home appliance stores and other places.

Connection and Operation

1. Connect the HDMI interface of the adapter to the HDMI/ARC interface of the TV via the HDMI cable.
   Note: Connect to the HDMI interface marked “ARC”!

2. Use the USB power cable to connect the DC 5V interface of the adapter to the USB port of the TV. (For Power Supply)

3. Use the optic cable to connect the adapter’s optical interface to the amplifier system.

4. Or connect the headphones to the adapter’s 3.5mm interface.

5. Or use the RCA cable to connect the adapter’s RCA interface to the amplifier system.

TV Operation Steps

1. When using TV HDMI ARC out, set audio format to “HDMI ARC”.

   • A. Samsung TV path settings
     External speakers: Settings → Sound → Select Speaker → HDMI ARC

   • B. LG TV path settings
     External speakers: Menu → All Settings → Sound → Sound Out → HDMI ARC

2. If the volume (from PROZOR DAC output) is not loud enough, please connect the output of DAC with low-impedance cellphone headset, headphone amplifier, or power amplifier.

3. Compatible with Netflix, Amazon Prime video, YouTube.

Note

1. Make sure that the TV has an HDMI “ARC” interface, and only supports TVs with HDMI ARC function.
2. Please turn on the CEC function of the TV so that you can control the volume. (Only supports RCAL / R and 3.5mm output interfaces.)
3. Whether a volume control bar appears when adjusting the volume depends on the TV brand. Some TV brands can display control bar normally, such as Sony, Xiaomi; Some brands will only show + and -, such as LG, Samsung.
4. The output volume of the 3.5mm/RCA interface can be adjusted by remote control. If you find that the volume of the 3.5mm/RCA interface is lower than that of the optical, please use the remote control to increase the volume. The output volume of the optical interface does not support control, the default is 100%, which is determined by the interface, and has nothing to do with this product.
5. Whether the TV speakers can make sound synchronously with the product depends on the settings of the TV.
6. This product does not support EARC.
7. Please use standard 19 + 1 HDMI cable to support ARC function.

Common fault diagnosis and processing methods:

Before powering on, you should carefully check whether the cable is normal and you must ensure that all connectors are properly connected. Common faults are judged and handled as follows:

1. Non-Power-Connected
   • Check whether the power light is on. If the light is off, check whether the power supply or the power cable is properly connected to the power connector.
   • Check Whether the power supply is DC 5V and whether the current reaches 500mA.
2. Non-Audio/Low Volume
   • Check whether the TV supports ARC function.
   • Check whether the adapter switch is in the ON state.
   • Check whether the HDMI cable is connected to the HDMI port of the TV that supports ARC.
   • Check whether the TV is turned on the ARC function (use the TV’s remote control to open).
   • Check whether it is AGW26 standard HDMI1.4 HD cable (inferior quality or HDMI 1.3 version of HD cable are without ARC function)
   • Continuously Use the volume”+”key of the remote control to increase the volume to see if there will be sound.
3. RCA port, headphone port have noise
   • Set the TV to stereo output (PCM/LPCM 2-channel output)
4. Non 5.1 audio output with Optical
   • Check whether the movie supports 5.1 audio.
   • Check whether the TV is Dolby 5.1 output. If the TV is PCM output, there will only be 2.0 audio. Please adjust the audio output format to Dolby 5.1 output.
