Product Instruction
- Before you buy the cable, please check and make sure your computer has a VGA slot and monitor has a HDMI slot. If the slot of the computer is DVI, or the slot of the monitor is USB or DP, the cable wouldn’t work. For the port identification, please refer to the **figure 1:
**
- The cable is unidirectional, not bidirectional, which would only be used to connect the laptop or computer with VGA output to the monitor with HDMI input. If you are trying to connect the laptop with HDMI output to the monitor with VGA input, the cable wouldn’t work. For the signal transmission direction, please refer to Figure 1.
- When the OS (operating system) is not Windows, please ensure the USB is connected with external power supply. The VGA source could not generate enough power for the chipset, so the external power supply from USB is required.
- If all links are correct, what should I do if there is no signal or image?
a ) On your computer, please go to【Display】or【Monitor】and see whether the monitor could be detected.
b ) If no, please check and set the monitor to HDMI input mode manually.
c ) If yes, please set an appropriate resolution and refresh rate
5. If no audio and the OS is Windows, what should I do?
Attention: Only Windows OS support sound output. a) Select the USB audio on the playback tab of the sound menu in Windows b) Connect the USB cable to the USB port of the source computer. The audio signal is embedded with HDMI video c) Select the input audio from HDMI Display menu
6. Could the cable reach 4K?
Unfortunately, the cable could be up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz (1080p Full HD), but couldn't be reach 4k. As the VGA is an analog digital signal output, not a high-definition interface.
7. If my monitor is only seen the background of the computer and no apps,
what to do?
If so, your display should be in extended mode now, and you could directly drag the app to the monitor with the mouse. Or you could switch to the mirror mode.
