Only images could be displayed, but no sound. 5 Yes, the cable only displays images, no sound. As the VGA is an analog signal, which could only receive video signals, not audio signals.

Could the cable reach 4K? Unfortunately, the cable could be up to 1920*1200@60HZ, couldn’t be reach 4k. As the VGA is an analog digital signal output, not a high-definition interface.

If my monitor only is seen the background of the computer and no apps, what to do? If so, your display should be in extended mode now, and you could directly drag the app to the monitor with the mouse. Or you could switch to the mirror mode.
