IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ CAREFULLY AND STORE FOR FUTURE USE.

  • This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or  mental impairments or by inexperienced persons, ifthey are properly supervised or have been informed about how to use the product in a safe manner and understand the potential dangers. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years of age and under supervision. Keep this appliance and the power cord out of reach of children that are younger than 8 years of age. Children must not play with the appliance.
  • Before connecting the kettle to a power socket check that the nominal voltage matches the electrical voltage in the socket.
  • Connect the kettle only to a properly grounded socket.
  • The kettle is designed for domestic use and similar places such as:
    • staff kitchens in stores, offices and other workplaces;
    • agricultural farms;
    • hotel or motel rooms and other living areas;
    • bed and breakfast establishments.
  • Do not place the kettle on window sills, kitchen sink drainboards or unstable surfaces. Always place it on a stable, even and dry surface.
  • Do not place the kettle on equipment or devices that are sources of heat.
  • Never use the kettle in the near vicinity of a bath, shower or swimming pool.
  • Do not wash the kettle or its base under running water and do not submerge it or its base in water or another liquid.
  • Only use the kettle with the base that was supplied with it.
  • Use the kettle exclusively for boiling drinking water. Do not use it to heat other liquids or foodstuffs.
  • Always take the kettle off the base before filling it.
  • When filling the kettle, make sure that the water level covers at least the minimum mark and also that it does no go over the maximum mark. If the kettle is overfilled, then boiling water could splash out.
  • Take care not to spill water on to the connector when placing the kettle on to the base and when taking it off the base.
  • Check that the lid is securely closed before starting the kettle. Do not open the lid or handle it in any way while the water is boiling.
  • The surface of the heating element and kettle body remains hot after use due to residual heat. Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handle for lifting and carrying the kettle.
  • Be especially careful when pouring water out of the kettle to avoid scalding by the boiling water or steam.
  • Always disconnect the kettle from the power socket when leaving it without supervision, when not using it and before moving or cleaning it.
  • Clean it according to the instructions in chapter Cleaning and maintenance.
  • Disconnect the kettle from the power socket by pulling on the plug, never pull on the power cord. Otherwise, this could damage the power cord or the socket.
  • If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced at a professional service centre. It is forbidden to use the kettle if it has a damaged power cord.
  • To avoid the danger of injury by electrical shock, do not repair the kettle yourself or make any adjustments to it. Have all repairs performed at an authorised service centre. By tampering with the appliance, you risk voiding your legal rights arising from unsatisfactory performance or quality warranty.

FIRST USE OF THE MACHINE

Before the first time using, please boil up the water for twice without any additives.

  1. Fill the electrical kettle with water. Do not overfill, keep the water level under the MAX marks.
  2. Place the kettle on the base.
  3. Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as the electrical kettle. Details are to be found on the rating label on the base of the kettle.
  4. Switch the machine to position “1” to start.
  5. After boiling, the electrical kettle will switch off automatically. Take the electrical kettle away from the power cord base.
  6. Do not open the lid when pouring out the water.

CLEANING

Before your cleaning, please unplug the electrical kettle and make sure it has been cooled down. Never immerse any part of the cable, plug, power cord base or kettle in water or any other liquid.

Exterior of the kettle

Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a piece of damp cloth and then dry it with a piece of dry cloth. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the finish of your kettle.

Interior of the kettle

Over using a period of time, lime scale would be built up inside of your kettle.

  1. Half fill the kettle with water and add the juice of a lemon.
  2. Boil up the water and allow it to stand for 15 minutes before discarding.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 several time, please using cold water only. Then the lime scale inside of your electrical kettle will be clean up
