Important Safety Instructions
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included. When using the product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of injury including the following:
WARNING
Risk of injury!
- To reduce exposure to spraying agents, wear approved personal protection equipment (PPE), such as respiratory protection, safety goggles, gloves and protective clothing.
- Avoid any direct contact with spraying agents. In case of contact with spraying agents, immediately rinse the affected body parts with plenty of clean water. Seek medical advice if needed.
- If inhaling toxic chemicals or substances, immediately leave the toxic environment and rest in a ventilated area:
- if skin and eyes are irritated, wash immediately with clean water;
- if airways are irritated, get into fresh air straight away and seek medical advice promptly
- if swallowed, drink plenty of water or warm water with salt to induce vomiting, and seek medical advice promptly.
- Keep children, pets and other bystanders away from the product while operating.
- Do not spray on persons or animals.
- Do not spray into wind, water or drinking water sources.
- Do not operate the product with an empty tank.
- Keep pressurized products out of direct sunlight.
- Never use the product in a room where there is a danger of explosion or in the vicinity of flammable liquids or gases.
- Check all parts before using the product. Do not use the product if any parts of the product are damaged, especially the nozzle.
- Do not use the product while tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol or other drugs or medicaments.
- Always direct the nozzle downwind from the operator during operation.
- Only operate the product when it is in an upright position.
- Before using spraying agents with this product, read the label and all the warnings on the original container thoroughly and follow all the manufacturer’s directions.
- Do not change the recommended dilution ratios. Incorrect mixtures may produce toxic fumes or explosive solutions.
- Mix and fill only in areas where spills can be easily contained.
- Avoid contaminating the environment, the mains water supply and/or public sewer systems with spraying agents. Have enough spare rags available to adsorb any spills immediately.
- Any unused leftovers of spraying agents must always be collected in a suitable container and disposed of via approval by local or national regulatory authorities to avoid contaminating the environment.
- Do not dump unused spraying agents into the fields, rivers, wells, streams and similar.
- Release the residual pressure in the tank by pulling the pressure relief valve upwards, after each use and especially before unscrewing the tank cap.
- Do not under any circumstances modify the product. All servicing and maintenance, other than those listed in this user manual, should be performed by an authorised service centre.
Intended Use
- This product is intended for spraying water, mild cleaning agents, fertilisers or pesticides in homes, gardens and greenhouses.
- This product is not suitable for flammable, caustic, corrosive, acid or oxidizing chemicals including bleaches.
- This product is intended for private use only.
Product Description
Before First Use
Risk of suffocation! Keep any packaging materials away from children and pets
– these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
CAUTION
Risk of injury! Always pull the pressure relief valve (F) upwards to release
any residual pressure in the tank (G) before unscrewing the tank cap (E).
Remove all the packing materials. Remove and review all components before
starting use. Check the product for transport damages.
Setup
Filling the tank
NOTICE
instructions and warnings on the original container of the spraying agents. Do
not mix the spraying agent directly in the tank (G). Mix the spraying agents
in a separate container (not included). Dilute the spraying agent with water
properly. A solution to be sprayed must be as thin as water. A thicker
solution cannot be sprayed out properly.
- Pull the pressure relief valve (F) upwards to release any residual pressure in the tank (G) (Fig. 1).
- Unscrew the tank cap (E) (Fig. 2).
- Fill the tank (G) with only the amount of solution needed for the particular spraying session. Do not overfill the tank (G) (Fig. 3).
- Refit and tighten the tank cap (E).
Building up the operating pressure
Move the pump lever (A) up and down for no more than 25 repetitions to build
up the operating pressure (Fig. 4).
NOTICE
The pressure in the tank (G) should not exceed 2.5 bar. Pull the pressure
relief valve (F) upwards to release excessive pressure in the tank (G).
Operation
Trial run
When operating the product for the first time, perform a trial run with the
tank (G) filled with clean water only. Check at each connection joint for
irregularities or leaks before using the product with spraying agents.
Spraying
NOTICE
Always keep the product in an upright position. The product works properly
only in this orientation.
- Hold the handle (D) and aim the nozzle (J) directly at the plants or objects to be sprayed.
- Press the trigger (C) down to start spraying (Fig. 5).
NOTICE
When spraying for an extended period, press the trigger (C) down and push the
lock-on button (B) forward (Fig. 6). To unlock, push the lock-on button (B)
backward. Adjust the spray pattern by slightly turning the tip of the nozzle
(J) (Fig. 7). Turn it anti-clockwise for a cone spray (1), or turn clockwise
for a concentrated stream (2).
NOTICE
Do not turn the tip of the nozzle (J) over 180 degrees when adjusting the
spray pattern. The nozzle (J) becomes loose and can cause water leakage.
Release the trigger (C) to stop spraying
Cleaning and Maintenance
CAUTION Risk of injury!
Always pull the pressure relief valve (F) upwards to release any residual
pressure in the tank (G) before unscrewing the tank cap (E).
NOTICE
- Empty the tank (G) and clean all parts after each use. Do not leave residue or spraying agents in the tank (G).
- Thoroughly wash your face and hands with soap, as well as protective clothing.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, or metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
Cleaning
- Drain all the water from the tank (G).
- Rinse the parts with water. Use mild detergent for stubborn dirt if needed.
- To unclog the nozzle (J), insert a needle (not included) into the nozzle opening and move it back and forth.
- Leave the tank (G) open in an open area to eliminate the odour of the spraying agents. Wipe the parts dry with a soft cloth.
NOTICE
1t any of the O-rings is removed for cleaning, refit properly after cleaning (Fig. 8)
Storage
- Drain all the water from the tank (G).
- Store the product and its accessories in a frost-free room. Do not store the product in an area with ambient temperature below o C
- Store in a cool and dry place away from children and pets.
Maintenance
Check the product regularly to make sure it is free of visible damage. Apply
silicone lubricant on the O-rings once a year to prevent them from cracking
(Fig. 8).
