Using the epilation head (dry use only)

  • The small, precise epilation head removes even the finest facial hairs from the roots. Before use, make sure your skin and the epilation head are thoroughly clean.
  • Hold the appliance with the tweezers against a section of skin that you keep stretched with your free hand. Carefully guide it with gentle pressure against the direction of hair growth. Do not press too hard as this may lead to skin injury. To stretch the upper lip area, use your tongue to push from below.
  • To relax the skin, we recommend applying a moisturizing cream after epilation. When epilating for the first time, it is advisable to epilate in the evening, so that any possible reddening can disappear overnight.

General information on epilation

All methods of hair removal from the root can lead to skin irritation (e.g. itching, discomfort, reddening) depending on the condition of your skin and hair.

This is a normal reaction and should quickly disappear, but may be stronger when you are removing hair at the root for the first few times or if you have sensitive skin.

In general, skin reactions and the sensation of pain tend to diminish considerably with the repeated use. If, after 36 hours, the skin still shows irritation, we recommend that you contact your physician. In order to minimize the risk of infection or inflammation due to penetrating bacteria (e.g. when sliding the appliance over the skin), thoroughly clean the epilation head before using it.

If you have any doubts about using this appliance, please consult your physician. In the following cases, this appliance should only be used after prior consultation with a physician: eczema, wounds, inflamed skin reactions such as folliculitis (purulent hair follicles) and varicose veins, around moles, reduced immunity of the skin, e.g. diabetes mellitus, during pregnancy, Raynaud’s disease, Koebner phenomenon, hemophilia or immune deficiency.

When you begin taking hormones or if you change the type of hormone medication (e.g. contraceptive pill), the growth of your hairs may be influenced due to a change of your hormone level. This is caused by the change of hormonal conditions, but not by the appliance.

Using the cleansing brush (wet & dry use)

The cleansing brush attachment improves your skin‘s appearance through gentle and deep-pore cleansing.

Pull off the epilator head, attach the brush adapter (8) and click-in the cleansing brush (7).

Use this attachment as part of your daily cleansing routine with water, soap, cleanser, cleansing milk, gel or peeling products.

Guide the brush with gentle pressure and circular motions. Avoid the eye area and hairline.

Using the Micro Vibration head

Attach the Micro Vibration head (9). Choose the vibration mode by sliding the switch (9a) to the left (gentle) or right (intense). Each mode can be operated with speed1 or 2.

We recommend the Micro Vibration head for applying liquid skin care products.

The delicate tapping action ensures an efficient and economic application of your skin care product. Slowly guide the Micro Vibration head and enjoy the gentle massage.

After use, clean the toning head with a damp cloth.

Cleaning and maintenance
After use, clean the appliance as follows:
Micro Vibration head (9): Use a damp cloth for cleaning. Do not clean in water.

Epilation head (2): Use the brush (10) to carefully clean the tweezers. You may want to dip the brush into ethanol (70%). Do not clean the epilation head under running water. Cleansing brush: Only this attachment can be rinsed under running water.

If you prefer cleaning it thoroughly with soap and warm water, you may detach the brush (7) by pressing the release button (8a). After cleaning, leave all parts to dry before reattaching them.

For best results, replace the brush (7) every 3 months or sooner if bristles become deformed due to frequent usage. A range of brush refills (ref. no. 80 Face) is available at your retailer, Braun Service Centers or via www.braun.com.
