What can I do to solve a problem?
If the speaker does not function as expected, try the following steps to
resolve the issue. Find the symptoms of the issue in this Help Guide and try
any corrective actions listed.
Charge the speaker.
You may be able to resolve some issues by charging the built-in battery.
Move your device closer to the speaker and away from any interference or obstruction.
Try connecting another device.
Restart the speaker.
Initialize the speaker.
This operation restores the settings such as volume, etc. to the default
settings, and deletes all
pairing information.
Unable to charge the speaker
Battery may be in protection mode or discharged. Connect your speaker to a
wall charger or computer that is powered on and check the state of the status
indicators (buttons on the top arein solid red).
Charge the speaker in an ambient temperature between 5 °C and 35 °C (41 °F and 95 °F). Beaware that the room temperature may fall to 5 °C (41 °F) or lower depending on the season, for example, especially in wintertime.
Unable to turn on the speaker or the speaker suddenly turns off
The rechargeable built-in battery may be empty or running low. Connect your
speaker toawall charger or computer that is powered on for battery charging.
The Standby function may have been activated. Deactivate the Standby function
(press oncethe Power button).
Acoustic feedback created while the microphone was in use may have triggered the product protection feature. Wait a while and then turn the speaker back on.
No sound/Sound from only one speaker/Low sound level/Distorted
sound/Humming or noise in the speaker output
Check that both the speaker and the connected device are turned on. Turn up
the volume of the speaker and the connected device.
Depending on the connected BLUETOOTH device, volume adjustment on the BLUETOOTHdevice may not change the volume level of the speaker (i.e. the (power) indicator does not flash).
When the volume of the speaker sounds low, adjust the volume level of the BLUETOOTHdevice to an appropriate one, and then adjust the volume level of the speaker with –/+ (volume) on the speaker.
Check that the connected device is playing.
Make sure the audio cable is firmly connected to the AUDIO IN jack during playback in AUDIO IN mode
If you are connecting a computer to the speaker, make sure the audio output setting of the computer is set for a BLUETOOTH device. Check that the speaker has established BLUETOOTH connection with the BLUETOOTH device.
Pair the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device again. If the connected device has an equalizer function, set it to off. Keep the speaker away from a microwave oven, wireless LAN, etc. Bring the BLUETOOTH device closer to the speaker. If there is any obstacle between the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device, move it out of the way. When using the Stereo Pair function or Multi-Connect function, if any other BLUETOOTHdevice(s) such as a BLUETOOTH mouse or BLUETOOTH keyboard is connected to theBLUETOOTH device, terminate the connection between them. There are someBLUETOOTH devices that can have the BLUETOOTH connection quality changed
Sound becomes low while in use
- The sound may become low in the following cases.
- This is not a malfunction.
- The rechargeable built-in battery is running out of power.
- The ambient temperature of the speaker is high.
- If the sound becomes low while in use, follow the procedure below.
- Turn off the speaker.
- Charge the built-in battery sufficiently
Video and audio are not synchronized; or audio sounds duplicated
Audio effects may be affected by the placement of the speaker and TV. If
audio sounds
duplicated, move the speaker as close as possible to the TV. The amount of
audio delay depends on the performance of TVs.
The sound from the speaker contains noise, skips, or is distorted
The connected USB device is not compatible with the speaker. Check on the
information about the compatible devices.
Turn off the speaker, disconnect and reconnect the USB device, and then turn the speaker back on.
Make sure that the audio file itself does not contain noise or distortion. Noise may begenerated while an audio file is encoded. If this is the case, delete the audio file and encodethe original audio file all over again. If the sound from the speaker contains noise or is distorted always at the same point in playback, this suggests that the file itself has a problem. The bit rate setting for creating or encoding audio files is low. Increase the bit rate and encodethe original audio file on the USB device.
Unable to pair the speaker with a BLUETOOTH device
Place the speaker and the BLUETOOTH device within 1m (3.2 ft) of each
other. To use the Stereo Pair function or Multi-Connect function, pair with
the speaker in which the(all buttons) indicators flash in blue.
Once the speaker is initialized, an iPhone may not be able to connect to the
speaker. In this
case, delete pairing information on the iPhone, then pair them again.
Check that the BLUETOOTH device is turned on and the BLUETOOTH function is activatedon the device.
If the speaker is not displayed on the BLUETOOTH device, turn off the device, and then turnon the device again. It may improve symptoms.
Unable to connect a BLUETOOTH device with the speaker for the Multi-sync function
Hint
You only need to pair one speaker with your phone, and when the pairing is
successful, that speaker will act as the primary speaker; the other speakers
will be paired with the primaryspeaker, not with the phone.
You can establish or disconnect a connection for the Multi-sync function by double-pressingin quick succession the BLUETOOTH button. Stop music playback in advance. Make sure that the speakers to connect for the function are located within 10 m(32 ft) fromeach other.
Make sure the speakers are not in standby mode, press once the Power button, when you hear the tone “awake”, the speakers will be out of standby mode
Note
Once you have successfully established the Multi-sync function, turning off
the speakers does not turn off the Multi-sync function. When the primary
speakers is turned back on, it attempts to establish a connection for the
Multi-sync function. To use the Multi-sync function, turnonthe other speaker
within 1 minute. When watching movies using the Multi-Connect function, there
may be a gap between videoand audio
Restarting the speaker
In the event such as the following, press and hold the (play/pause) button
for about 10seconds to restart the speaker:
You cannot operate the speaker after you turn it on.
You cannot operate the speaker after you troubleshoot pairing issues
The speaker is turned off during the restart process, and then turned back on upon completionof the process.

information, however, is stored on the speaker when the speaker is turned off.

back on, and then restart the speaker.
