Winching
Do not use this product for win-ching. -
Acro & SIV training
Do not use this lightweight product for SIV training, acro or extreme flight maneuvers.
HANDLE WITH CARE
The STRAPLESS 3 is an ultralight harness. The “Handle with Care” label is

ATTACHING THE PROTECTOR
Easy attachment
The optional airbag protector is attached to the STRAPLESS 3 by six connection
points.
- A Bullet-Toggles at the leg pads (left & right)
- B Loops in the thigh area (left & right)
- C Bullet-Toggles in the lower back (left & right)
INFO : To attach or remove the airbag protector, the speed system and
both low-friction rings in the thigh area must be removed.
CAUTION : When attaching, make sure the air intakes face the direction of
flight.
PUTTING ON & CLOSING
Putting on & closing the harness
Put on the harness and hook the blue and red loops of the front strap into the
main carabiners.
CAUTION : Always check that the carabiners and the harness loops are not
twisted.
Adjusting the shoulder straps
Adjust the length of the shoulder straps of your STRAPLESS 3 to your body size
before your first flight. To adjust the length, move the position of the
single knot above the large red-end knot.
Getting into the harness with a paraglider attached
If you store your harness connected to the paraglider, e.g. because you use
soft links, step into the harness from above through the closed locking
system.
CAUTION : Take care not to damage the harness with your shoes (e.g. with
crampons).
MOUNTING A FRONT RESERVE
Using a front reserve
The STRAPLESS 3 can be used with a front container (e.g. the ZIP Light).
Before attaching the paraglider to the carabiners, hang the ends of the
reserve connection in the carabiners, then fasten the container as recommended
by the manufacturer.
CAUTION : Important advice for using a front container.
The carabiner gates must face rearwards. This is essential so that when the
reserve is thrown the reserve connections run upwards unimpeded. In addition,
the reserve must be hung in the carabiners before hooking up the paraglider
risers.
ATTACHING THE RISERS
Connecting
The STRAPLESS 3 has an EASY CONNECT SYSTEM. The colour-coded (blue = right,
red = left) markings on the hangpoints simplify clipping an ADVANCE paraglider
in.
CAUTION : Make sure that the Edelrid Ease carabiners are always correctly
closed and secured and that they are only loaded in their lengthwise
direction.
REPLACING PARTS
Accelerator
- The accelerator passes through two low-friction rings on each side (A). These are attached to white loops. To detach the accelerator, the two Brummel hooks and stoppers must first be removed.
- INFO : To attach or remove the airbag protector, the accelerator and both low-friction rings in the thigh area must be removed.
- CAUTION : Never pass the accelerator directly through the white loops without mounted low-friction rings. Risk of damage due to friction!
Legpad nitinol wires
- The nitinol wires are located in a pocket under the legpads and help to stretch the legpads for comfort. They can be replaced if damaged.
- To remove a wire, grasp it with two fingers and pull it out slowly (A).
- When installing, squeeze the circular wire into an oval (B) and push it into the pocket on one side. Always check that the connection is on the outside of the legpad (C). Now bend the nitinol wire so you can push
- it into the pocket on the other side (D).
INFO : Check the nitinol wires from time to time for kinks or deformations.
CARABINER SERVICE LIFE
Maximum 5 years
The main carabiners are high-quality EDELRID EASE Alu Carabiners. Aluminum
carabiners must be regularly visually inspected for metal discolorations,
dents, and obvious scratches or cracks. In addition, you must ensure that a
carabiner is always loaded vertically – along its major axis. If a carabiner
shows visible signs of any of the above conditions or has been incorrectly
loaded, both carabiners must be replaced immediately. In any case, the
carabiners must be replaced no later than 5 years after being put into service
or first flight (if unknown, 5 years after production date), and may not be
used again. The production date is printed on the carabiner.
NATURE & ENVIRONMENT
Nature
Take care of nature and the landscape at all times when practicing
paragliding.
Disposal
Environmental protection plays an important role in the selection of materials
and production. We only use non-toxic materials and fabrics. When your harness
has reached the end of its useful life, please remove all metal parts and
dispose of the rest of the harness in the designated facilities.
SERVICE & WARRANTY
Cycle of service
Your harness should have a thorough visual check every 24 months and be
regularly inspected. If any damage is detected, the harness should be
professionally repaired before the next flight.
Warranty
The ADVANCE warranty covers defects that can be attributed to manufacturing
faults. Damage caused by overloading is specifically excluded. The basic
warranty conditions of your country apply. If you register your product with
ADVANCE online within 10 days of purchase this cover will be extended by 12
months. In addition, you will be informed by email of product updates and
