Product Information
The SSD7749E is an 8x E1.S Port to PCIe 4.0×16 NVMe RAID Controller. It features a full-length anodized aluminum heat sink, a full height form factor, and an external power port. The controller has a PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface and is equipped with a low-noise cooling fan.

Hardware Installation:
- Apply pressure to release the lock and turn it counterclockwise.
- Gently insert the SSD into the slot.
- Align the fan module and press down to secure.
- Power up the SSD external power supply.
- Connect the 6 pin PCIe power cable.
Note: Prior to installation, ensure that the SSD contacts (golden fingers) are
clean. Carefully and securely install the SSDs into each E1.S port to avoid
stability and performance issues as well as potential data loss.
SSD7749E relies on two power sources: power supplied through the PCIe bus and
power from the system’s PSU via an external 6 pin PCIe power cable. If the
external cable is not connected, there may be insufficient power to support
all 8 SSDs, leading to dropped offline SSDs. However, when used with a Mac Pro
2019, the external power cord is not required.
Before using the product, it is recommended to connect the NVMe and install
the driver.

Step 1. Apply pressure to release the lock, turn it counter-clockwise

Step 2. Gently insert the SSD into the slot.
Note: Make sure the SSD contacts (“golden fingers”) are clean before installation. -
Step 3. Align the fan module and press down to secure.
Note: Make sure the SSDs are carefully, but securely installed into each E1.S port. Loose connections can cause a variety of stability and performance issues, and may ultimately result in data loss. -
Step 4. Power up the SSD external power supply. Note: If the external power supply is not powered on, the SSDs may drop offline or remain undetected, which could lead to data loss.
SSD7749E relies on two power sources to support eight SSDs; power supplied through the PCIe bus, and power from the system’s PSU via an external 6 pin PCIe power cable. If the external cable is not connected, there will be insufficient power to support all 8 SSD’s; this may cause the SSDs to drop offline.
Note ：The SSD7749E does not require the external power cord when used with a Mac Pro 2019.
Note : Please be sure to connect NVMe before using the product to reduce the occurrence of unnecessary errors!
Note : Make sure to install the driver before physically installing the SSD7749E.
