SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using this machine follow these safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

WARNING

1. Do not expose your eyes directly to the Ultraviolet light source for extended periods of time.
2. Do not place the machine in an area where it may be exposed to water or other liquids.
3. Before cleaning the machine, always unplug the machine from the wall. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
4. Do not take apart the machine. When service or repair work is needed, bring it to a qualified service repair technician or contact Royal Sovereign.
5. Do not use the machine in areas with high temperatures or high humidity. This may result in the machine not working properly.

CAUTION

1. When unplugging the power cord from the outlet, grip the plug to pull it out.
2. Do not use the machine if the cord is damaged.
3. Do not place objects on the power cord and do not bend it excessively.
4. When not using the machine for long periods of time, unplug the power cord from the outlet.

QUICK START GUIDE

1. Plug the USB cable into the unit and the wall charger. Then plug the wall charger into the wall power outlet.
2. Flip the power selector switch to select which light you want on (“I” means UV and “II” means FL/MG) (A).
3. Place the bill or document on the detection plate (B).
4. Look through the verification window to verify currency (C).

PRODUCT OPERATION

Place the machine on a level work surface. Plug in the unit.

NOTE: Before you begin to check your bill or document, make sure you understand the security features of that specific bill or document. This will ensure that you are using the machine properly.

For Ultraviolet Counterfeit Detection:

1. Flip the Power Selector Switch to “I”.
2. Place the bill or document under the UV lights. If the bill has ultraviolet ink or markings, the bill will glow.

For Magnetic Ink Counterfeit Detection:

1. Flip the Power Selector Switch to “II”.
2. Rub the area of the bill that is supposed to have magnetic ink on the magnetic head.
3. If magnetic ink is present, the unit will beep and the green magnetic indicator light will blink.

For Watermark Counterfeit Detection:

1. Flip the Power Selector Switch to “II”.
2. Place the bill or document under the FL lamp. You should be able to see the watermarks on the bill or document through the verification window.

For Micro-Printing Counterfeit Detection:

1. Place the bill or document under the micro-printing magnifier lens.
2. You should be able to clearly see the micro-printed words and lines on the bill or document through the verification window.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Royal Sovereign Service Center. May need to replace the lights.
The switch is powered on, but the Watermark verification window is not lit.| Contact Royal Sovereign Service Center. May need to replace the bulb.

MAINTENANCE

1. Clean the counterfeit detector regularly, and clean the dust on the ultraviolet LED lights with a dry towel to maintain ultraviolet light quality.
2. Be certain to switch the power off when finishing detection to ensure a long life.
3. Disconnect the power cord for cleaning or maintenance if the unit will not be used for a long time.
