Product Usage Instructions

  • The FOSC450-B6-2-NT-0-N3V dome closure is designed for splicing feeder and distribution cables. It is compatible with a wide range of cable types, including loose tube, central core, and ribbon fiber.
  • The closure can be used in aerial, pedestal, and underground environments up to a depth of 5 meters. It is suitable for use with CommScope’s CWDM modules and optical splitter trays.
  • To access the splices, the FOSC splice trays are hinged, allowing easy access to any splice without disturbing other trays.
  • When using the closure, ensure that the cables are properly sealed using the compressed gel cable sealing technology. The closure features a dome-to-base clamp with an O-ring for secure sealing.
  • Mount the closure on a pole, strand, or wall, depending on your network area type. It is designed for feeder applications.
  • Before using the closure, ensure that the necessary splice trays are installed. The FOSC450-B6-2-NT-0-N3V does not include any splice trays.
  • The closure has a maximum splicing capacity of 288 fibers for mass fusion splicing and 144 fibers for single fusion splicing. Additionally, it supports single splice with a maximum of 12 fibers or 6 fibers.
