Product Usage Instructions

The FOSC600-C8B-NT-0-C4V is a gel-sealed closure designed for splicing feeder and distribution cables. It can be used in aerial, pedestal, and underground environments (up to 5 meters). This closure is compatible with most common cable types, including loose tube, central core, and ribbon fiber.

The closure features FOSC splice trays that are hinged for easy access to any splice without disturbing other trays. It is also compatible with CommScope’s CWDM modules and optical splitter trays.

To use the closure, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that the closure is mounted securely in the desired location, such as a pole, strand, or wall.
  2. Open the closure by releasing the captured bolts or over-centered latches.
  3. Place the cables into the gel-sealed cable ports, ensuring a proper seal.
  4. If required, perform fiber splicing using the appropriate splicing method (mass fusion or single fusion).
  5. Close the closure and secure it using the captured bolts or over-centered latches.

Note: The closure does not include any splice trays. Make sure to have the necessary splice trays and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installing them, if required.
