Product Information

The Aruba 503 Series Campus Access Point is a high-performance, dual-radio wireless device that can be deployed in either controller-based (AOS) or controller-less (Instant) modes. It supports the full 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) feature set with dual 2×2 MIMO radios and provides a wired network interface. The package includes the Aruba 503 Access Point and a ceiling mount bracket (ten-packs also include a console serial port adapter cable).

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the device operates in accordance with all local/regional laws of the host domain.
  2. Use channel assignments appropriate to the domain in which the access point is deployed. For a list of approved devices for your country domain, refer to the Aruba Downloadable Regulatory Table Release Note by scanning the QR code in the manual or visiting http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/DRT/Default.htm.
  3. Inspect the package contents and inform your supplier if there are any incorrect, missing, or damaged parts.
  4. If necessary, return the product by repacking it into the original packaging before returning it to the supplier.
  5. Professional installation and service by a trained Aruba-Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP) or similar Aruba-certified technician is required.
  6. Refer to the Aruba 503 Series Campus Access Point Installation Guide for detailed installation instructions. This guide can be accessed by scanning the QR code in the manual or by selecting Software & Documents > Access Points (AP & IAP) at https://asp.arubanetworks.com and searching for AP-503.
  7. Use the provided default credentials (Username: admin, Password: [password not provided]) for logging into the AP management.
  8. Refer to the latest version of the AP Software Quick Start Guide for instructions on initial setup and software configuration. This guide can be accessed by scanning the QR code in the manual or by selecting Software & Documents > View All Aruba Products > Software at https://asp.arubanetworks.com.
  9. Make sure to comply with the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the product. The EULA information can be found at= www.arubanetworks.com/assets/legal/EULA.pdf.
  10. It is recommended to upgrade the AP firmware and/or downloadable regulatory table (DRT) file to the latest available version to ensure compliance with the most up-to-date set of countries and regulatory specifications.
  11. Any changes or modifications to the unit not expressly approved by Aruba Networks, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment.

Installation

Regulatory Compliance

This ensures that the AP supports the most up-to-date set of countries and regulatory specifications. Aruba access points are classified as radio transmission devices, and are subject to government regulations of the host country The network administrator(s) is/are responsible for ensuring that this device operates in accordance with all local/regional laws of the host domain. Access points must use channel assignments appropriate to the domain in which the access point is deployed.
