INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

STEP 1: PRE-INSTALLATION

1. Remove the front hood.

2. Drop the main skid plate (PIC01).
   STEP 2: INSTALL VENTS / LOUVERS AND RUN DUCT

3. For the floor louvers, using a razor blade utility knife, cut out the 2.5” factory embossment holes (PIC02).

4. Cut (2) 18” pieces of duct and zip tie them to the adapters of the (2) circle floor louvers.

5. The louvers are 2-piece louvers. Screw off the adapter and set the face in the hole, then screw the adapter on the back side of the dash panel (PIC02).

6. For the defrost vent, set the trim piece in the spot show in PIC03, then trace the opening and use a utility knife to cut it out. Also mark the (2) screw locations and use a drill bit to drill out pilot holes.

   • The bottom edge of the trim piece should line up with the bottom edge of the factory embossment (PIC03).

7. Using the remaining duct, attach it to the duct adapter of the defrost vent, and secure it with a zip tie.

8. Set the defrost vent rim and grill piece in place (PIC03) and have one person drill the screws in from the top while another person holds the adapter in place from beneath the dash (PIC04).
   STEP 3: MOUNTING THE HEATER

9. Set the heater in place with the left hole of the firewall bracket sitting over the factory hole shown in PIC05.

10. Mark the right hole and drill out a 3/8” pilot hole (PIC05).

11. Remove the larger bracket from the heater box, this will make it easier to install.

12. Using a partner, set the heater in place and mount with the bolts, washers and nuts provided (PIC06).

13. Set the bracket back onto the heater and re-mount the bolts.

14. Use the self-tapper screw to mount the second bracket onto the machine framing (PIC07).
    STEP 4: SPLICE INTO THE COOLANT LINES

15. Drain the machine of coolant. Keep coolant to reuse later in STEP 6.

16. Install the firewall grommets with a 1-3/8” hole saw (PIC08).

17. Cut the heater hose into 9-foot and 8-foot lengths.

18. Run the heater hose from the heater (PIC09) to the rear of the machine.

    • The one heater hose will be tight on the glove box. It is OK to have the hose push up against the glove box, just make sure there isn’t a kink.

19. When running the heater hose under the machine you will need to get under the machine and use the extra zip ties to keep the heater hose away from the drive shaft (PIC10).

20. Once you get the hose ran to the passenger side rear wheel well, zip tie the heater hoses off at the front of the machine in the passenger side front wheel well (PIC11).

21. Remove the hose shown in PIC12.

22. Install the heater hose onto the (2) fittings that are now open (PIC13), reuse the factory clamps.

    • It does not matter which run of heater hose goes to which heater core fitting.
      STEP 5: WIRING

23. Remove one of the factory switch plates and install the rocker switch provided (PIC13).

24. Unplug the connector on the backside of the 12v connector (circled on PIC13).

25. Using the wiring harness provided, plug the switch connecter into the back of the rocker switch.

26. Using the wiring harness provided, splice in the ground (blk) and power (red) wires onto the back side of the 12v connector from 22).

27. Using the wiring harness provided, plug the blower fan connector (white connector) into the blower connector.

28. Once the wiring is complete test it to make sure the blower runs properly.

    • If it tests out OK, you can re-install all machine panels.
      STEP 6: REFILL COOLANT

29. Refill the radiator and check for leaks.

30. Start the machine and allow the engine to warm up and circulate the coolant.

31. Drive the vehicle hard and put it under a good load, this will help expel air from the system.

32. When done let the machine cool down, recheck the coolant level and refill.

33. Coolant will be consumed as the air is expelled from the system. You may need to run the machine and recheck fluid levels multiple times before working out all the air.
