Before using this product, carefully read these instructions and keep the user manual for future reference.

  1. Read all instructions carefully.
  2. For Household Use only.

  4. Do not use in wet or damp conditions.
  5. Keep away from hot surfaces, such as gas or electric hobs and ovens etc.
  6. Do not use for any purposes other than the appliances intended use.
  7. Do not use if any part of this appliance is damaged in any way.
  8. To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.
  9. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance, by a person responsible for their safety.
  10. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with this appliance.
  11. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children.
  12. Never let children push anything into holes or slots in the cabinet or casing – this could result in an electric shock.
  13. Before plugging into mains socket, check whether supply line voltage and current rating are in compliance with the rated electrical parameters shown on the rating label.
  14. To prevent damage to the mains cord, do not let it pass over sharp corners, edges or hot surfaces.
  15. If the supply cord is damaged, do not use. Check before each use!
  16. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
  17. Always unplug when not in use.
  18. Do not use Ni-MH rechargeable or Carbon Zinc batteries in this appliance.
  19. The incorrect use of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage and will corrode the compartment or cause the batteries to burst. Therefore,
    • Do not mix battery types, e.g. alkaline with zinc carbonate.
    • When inserting new batteries, replace all batteries at the same time.
  20. Always turn the unit off, when not in use. Leaving it on will shorten the life of the  batteries.
  21. If you plan not to use the unit for a length of time, remove the alkaline batteries. Old batteries can leak and cause corrosion, damaging the unit.
  22. Should you find the sensitivity or quality of sound deteriorating, replace all old batteries with new ones as soon as possible.
  23. The use of long life alkaline batteries is recommended.
  24. DO NOT throw the battery in fire or dispose of in household waste. Consult your local authority in the correct way to dispose of unwanted batteries.
  25. DO NOT short-circuit the supply terminals of the batteries.
  26. Always check the correct polarity when inserting batteries. Incorrect polarity can damage this unit.
  27. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
  28. Disposal of a battery into fire or a hot oven, or mechanically crushing or cutting of abattery, that can result in an explosion.
  29. Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature surrounding environment that can result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  30. A battery subjected to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion.
  31. This symbol indicates DC (Direct Current).
  32. The marking of this device (symbol of a crossed-out dustbin) complies with European Directive 2012/19/EU relating to “used electrical and electronic equipment”. This marking means that this equipment, at the end of its useful life, cannot be disposed of with other household waste. The user is required to deliver it to operators who collect used electrical and electronic equipment. Collection operators, including local collection points, shops and local authorities, create an appropriate system for collecting equipment. Appropriate collection of used electrical and electronic equipment helps avoid harmful impacts on human health and the environment, resulting from the presence of hazardous components, as well as from improper storage and treatment of this equipment.

USE

The unit is powered by the internal rechargeable battery.

CHARGING THE INTERNAL BATTERY

Connect the 5V DC end of the supplied charging cable to the DC 5V IN jack and connect the USB end to your computer or USB wall charger (not included).

  • This device can be recharged while powered on or off. Full recharge will take approximately 3-5 hours.

Note: If the device is unused for a prolonged period, it is recommended that you recharge once a month to protect and prolong the battery life.

TURNING THE UNIT ON/OFF

Use the Radio/Audio/OFF switch to turn the unit on or off.

  • “Radio” position: Listen to AM or FM radio.
  • “Audio” position: Play MP3 music from Bluetooth, USB/TF, or for AUX IN operation.
  • “OFF” position: Turn the unit of.

ADJUSTING VOLUME

Turn the Volume control knob to adjust the volume.

SWITCHING MODE

When the Radio/Audio/OFF switch is in “Audio” position, you can switch between
Bluetooth and USB/TF/AUX IN operation by pressing the MODE button for about 3 seconds.

RADIO OPERATION

  1. Ensure the radio is connected to a power source as stated above.
  2. Slide the Radio/Audio/OFF switch to “Radio” position.
  3. Rotate the FM/AM selector left or right to select the AM or FM waveband.
  4. Extend the radio antenna to its full length to get the best reception.
  5. Tune to desired station by turning the Frequency dial in the front.
  6. To turn off the radio, move the slide switch to “OFF” position.

USB/TF OPERATION

Play MP3 files via TF/microSD card or USB flash drive.

  1. Ensure the radio is connected to a power source as stated above.

  2. Insert the USB stick or microSD card (FAT32 format) containing the music files in MP3 format.

  3. Slide the Radio/Audio/OFF switch to “Audio” position. The device will emit a tone and it will automatically start playing music saved in the USB or microSD card.

    • The blue MP3 Player LED will flash slowly during music playback.
  4. Rotate the Volume control knob to adjust the volume to desired level. During
    playback:

    • Press to pause or resume playback.

    • Press or to skip to the next or previous track.

    • Pres to switch between Repeat All or Repeat One mode.
      When blue light flashes slowly, only one track is repeated.
      When blue light flashes fast, all the tracks will be repeated.

    • Press and hold for about 3 seconds to switch between USB/TF/AUX IN and
      Bluetooth operation.

  5. To turn off the radio, move the slide switch to “OFF” position.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION

This radio plays music files from a Bluetooth source such as a mobile phone. This can be music streaming sources such as Spotify, Apple Music, You tube or music stored directly on your phone.

  • All trademarks are recognized.

    1. Ensure the radio is connected to a power source as stated above.

    2. Slide the Radio/Audio/OFF switch to “Audio” position.

    3. Press and hold MODE button for about 3 seconds to switch to Bluetooth operation. The device will emit a tone. The blue MP3 Player LED will flash fast.

    4. On your mobile phone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for the Bluetooth device. Select “Q.1673” to connect. There is no password.

    5. Once paired, the radio will emit a tone, the blue MP3 player LED will remain static, and you are ready to play your music on your phone.

    6. During playback, the buttons on top of the radio are used to change:

      • Press to pause or resume playback.
      • Press or to skip to the next or previous track.
      • Press and hold for about 3 seconds to switch between USB/TF/AUX IN and
        Bluetooth operation.
    7. To disconnect Bluetooth, press and hold MODE button for about 3 seconds. Press and hold MODE button again to connect the Bluetooth again.

AUX-IN OPERATION

This unit provides an AUX IN jack, through this jack other audio sources can be connected to this unit and be amplified.

  1. Connect the 3.5 mm AUX cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack of the unit, and connect the other end to the AUDIO OUT jack of the external audio source.
  2. Slide the Radio/Audio/OFF switch to “Audio” position.
  3. Press and hold MODE button for about 3 seconds to switch to USB/TF/AUX IN operation. The device will emit a tone. Then you can start playing music on the external device.
  4. Adjust the volume on the unit or on the external device to your desired level.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

This radio has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper care and regular cleaning.

The exterior surface of the radio should be wiped with a clean dry cloth only.

WARNING! DO NOT use abrasive cleaners, solvents or polish on any part of the appliance.

What is covered by the Qilive guarantee?

A Qilive guarantee covers the repair or replacement with equivalent features of your Qilive appliance if it is found to be defective due to a material fault or a manufacturing fault during the guarantee period. Repaired or replaced products may include new and/or repackaged hardware and components. If the product cannot be repaired or replaced, Qilive will refund the purchase price indicated on the proof of purchase.

What isn’t covered by the Qilive guarantee?

Qilive appliances are designed and manufactured to continuously offer high performances in normal domestic environments. If a Qilive appliance is used in line with the intended usage and it breaks down during the guarantee period, we are liable to repair or replace it.

Nevertheless, in some circumstances the Qilive guarantee does not cover the repair or replacement of an appliance. These circumstances are clearly indicated. The following cases are not covered:

  • Normal wear, including aesthetics (e.g. scratches, dents or vandalism) and parts which may wear over time (e.g. fuse, belt, tyre, brake, filters, etc.)
  • Damage or issues caused by incorrect use or use which doesn’t comply with the serial plate or the user manual, or by an accident or alteration.
  • Damage caused by failure to comply with the appliance’s maintenance recommendations.
  • Use or storage conditions which are detrimental to the good conservation of the appliance (oxidation, corrosion), use of energy, use or installation non-compliant with the manufacturer’s instructions, or negligence or use of peripherals, software or consumables which are unsuitable.
  • Professional, collective, industrial or commercial use of the product, or use for purposes other than normal domestic purposes in the country where it was purchased.
  • Damage caused by external sources, such as transport, weather conditions, electrical outages or power surges.
  • Modified products, products with damaged, altered, erased or rusted guarantee seals or serial numbers.
  • Damage caused by any intervention of non-authorised persons.
  • Software updates as a consequence of changes to network settings
  • Damage caused by elements external to the appliance (foreign bodies, insects, etc.)
  • Appliance content – freezer, washing machine, etc. – (food, clothing, etc.)
  • Product failure resulting from the use of third-party software to modify, change or adapt the product as supplied.
  • Product failure resulting from use of the product without the accessories supplied with it or approved by Qilive.

The customer is responsible for regularly backing up the data contained on their hard disk or in the internal memory of their device, and this before any claim is submitted. Qilive cannot be held liable for the loss or destruction of stored data, nor may it be held liable for damage caused to software resulting from, in particular, a restoration or breakdown.
In the same sense, Qilive is not required to check that SIM/SD cards have been removed from returned products.

What are the modalities of the guarantee?
The modalities of the Qilive guarantee are as follows:

  • The guarantee enters into effect on the date of purchase (or date of delivery if this is later).
  • You’ll need to provide proof of delivery/purchase before any intervention on your guaranteed appliance. Please note that, without this proof, any work carried out will beinvoiced. Please keep your purchase receipt or delivery note.
  • Any interventions will be carried out by Qilive or its authorised agents.
  • Any replaced par becomes the property of Qilive.

The guarantee offers advantages which are in addition to your legal rights as a consumer and do not have any impact on the latter rights.

How to apply the Qilive guarantee
To request the repair or replacement of your product under the Qilive guarantee, for any country other than France, please return your product to the service desk of your place of purchase along with your proof of purchase (e.g. the receipt) and the accessories provided with the product, including those necessary for its correct functioning (power, adapter, etc.) with its original packaging. To apply the guarantee in France, please submit a request on our website: https://auth.sav-login.auchan. fr. The following information will be required: date of purchase, model and serial or IMEI number (this information generally features on the product, packaging or proof of purchase).

When does the guarantee become effective?
The Qilive guarantee is effective from the date of purchase or delivery of your appliance, the latest date being valid.
Your product is guaranteed by Qilive 3 years for parts and labour.

Can Qilive guarantees be transferred?
Qilive guarantees can be transferred with the appliance, as long as the original proof of purchase from a recognised retailer, as well as proof of any change of ownership of the appliance, confirming the correct operational condition of the appliance at the time of change of ownership.
