PRODUCT INFORMATION

MAGLOC100S-DST Magnetic Lock

The MAGLOC100S-DST is a magnetic lock that provides secure locking for doors. It can be powered by either a 12VDC or 24VDC power source. The lock has relay dry contacts that are rated at 1 amp at 24VDC for safe operation. The lock also features a door status sensor (Reed switch) with a contact rating of 10 Watt-max, switching current of 0.5A-max, and carry current of 1A-max. The lock is designed for easy installation and can be adjusted to compensate for door wear and misalignment.

Wiring Instructions

12VDC Input:
Required power: 0.5 amp (Maximum). Connect the ground (-) lead from a 12VDC power source to the terminal

  1. Connect the positive (+)  lead from a 12VDC source to terminal
  2. Check the jumper for 12VDC operation.

24VDC Input:
Required power: 0.25 amp (Maximum). Connect the ground (-) lead from a 24VDC power source to the terminal

  1. Connect the positive (+) lead from a 24VDC power source to the terminal
  2. Check the jumper for 24VDC operation.

Contacts: If you require a normally open switch, connect the wires from the system to terminal 4 and terminal 3. If you require a normally closed switch, connect the wires from the system to terminal 4 and terminal 5. Please note that the relay dry contacts are rated at 1 amp at 24VDC, so do not exceed this rating.

Important!

  1. The product should only be powered by a UL-listed power supply.
  2. If a power switch is not wired between the DC source voltage and the magnet, it will take a longer time to de-energize the magnet, simulating residual magnetism.

Installation Instructions for MAGLOC100S-DST

IMPORTANT: Please Read Before Attempting To Install Magnetic Lock

  1. Handle the equipment with care. Damaging the mating surface of the magnet or armature plate may reduce locking efficiency.
  2. The magnet mounts rigidly to the door frame. The armature plate mounts to the door with hardware. The kit provided allows it to pivot about its center to compensate for door wear and misalignment.
  3. Template use must take place with the door in its normally closed position.
  4. Before installing, add a thread locker to all screws. Firmly tighten the screws to avoid loosening.

Typical Installation: Armature Plate Door Mount: [Installation diagram]

Important: Do not fix the armature plate too tightly. Make the rubber washer flexible to ensure the armature plate automatically adjusts to its proper position with the magnet.

Wiring Instructions

  • 12VDC Input :
    Required power 0.5 amp(Maximum).

    • Connect the ground (-) lead from a 12VDC power source to terminal 2.
    • Connect the positive (+) lead from a 12VDC source to terminal 1.
    • Check the jumper for 12VDC operation.
  • 24VDC input :
    Require power 0.25 amp(Maximum).

    • Connect the ground (-) lead from a 24VDC power source to terminal 2.
    • Connect the positive (+) lead from a 24VDC power source to terminal 1.
    • Check the jumper for 24VDC operation.
  • Contacts :
Relay dry contacts are rated 1 amp at 24VDC for safe operation, do not exceed this rating. If you require a normally open switch, connect the wires from the system to terminal 4 and terminal 3. Important!

  1. The product should only be powered by a UL-listed power supply.
  2. If the power switch is not wired between the DC source voltage and the magnet, it will take a longer timer to de-energize the magnet simulating residual magnetism. (see below)Watchguard-MAGLOC100S-DST-Aluminium-Surface-Mount-Magnetic-Lock-FIG- \(1\)
