INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
Important
-
Please see our Web page for maintenance and warranty before installation.
-
The floor may not be used in wet areas such as bathrooms.
-
The indoor relative humidity should always be 30%-60% RH
-
The subfloor is to be dry, clean, and flat.
If the flooring is to be laid on concrete, the subfloor is always to be covered with a plastic film moisture barrier. To even the surface and reduce noise a floor underlay must be used. Max 2 mm. -
The floor is installed floating. Always leave an expansion gap of 8-10 mm against the wall. Avoid installations, heavy objects, screws, or nails through the floor, which prevent the floor’s normal movements, so that joints don’t open up. If the room is more than 10 m along the planks or 6 m across the planks, an extra expansion gap should be used.
-
At the time of laying the floor, check that all planks are free from visual defects and damage, this relates to both color and structure and fitting tolerances. Be careful to have enough light at the time of installation. Claims on installed flooring are not accepted.
-
Golvabia shall not be liable for any delayed availability of premises, or any consequential costs related to this, which may result from a justified claim.
-
Be careful not to use too much force at the installation since this can damage the floor. Follow the installation instructions carefully. More info is available on www.golvabia.se
-
The color of the wood floor changes when it is exposed to day light. This is a natural characteristic of wood material
Maintenance
- Furniture feet should be fitted with felt pads.
- Do not use tape on the floor.
- For daily cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner and wipe the surface if necessary with a well-wrung damp cloth. Only mild detergents should be used.
