Monthly Checks
Check the safety latches are not damaged and working freely (Fig 1)| | | | | |

Check the material hanger is moving freely and the nut hasn’t come loose (Fig

Check that the material hanger fixing hole is not showing signs of elongation.

Check the main chain tension by pulling the chain against the frame at eye

Yearly Checks
Check GEARBOX OIL LEVEL. Should be centre of eye glass (Fig 3)| | | | | | | |

Check gearbox drive belt for Tension. Maximum of 12mm of movement on long side

Check Top Chain Tension. If more than 4mm deflection on long side adjust

Notice space under the nut this hook is seriously worn and must be replaced
immediately
The view below is what good material hanger should look like
This is how it should look
A worn hook and bolt both to be replaced
Ensure nut has not come loose. Spray lithium grease between plate and chain
Check safety latches working freely and not damaged

Check Gearbox oil level should be centre of eye glass
Check gearbox drive belt Maximum of 12mm of movement on long side.

4mm Maximum Deflection on long side of chain.
Chain Tensioner Bolt.
Fig 5
Remove cover and check sprockets and chains on both sides.
Lightly grease the sprockets while the covers are off.
Replace covers.
