Product Information

The 48-107 Remote Mounting Kit is designed for use with the Hydrostat control. It includes the following components:

  • (2) Mounting brackets
  • (1) Remote sensor
  • (1) Plastic grommet
  • (1) Rubber well cap
  • (4) #8 x 1/2 self-tapping mounting screws
  • (1) Grounding screw
  • (1) 30 Green Wire

This kit allows for remote mounting of the control and provides the necessary components for proper installation.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Step 1: Select a desired location for mounting the control. Use the template provided on the back of the sheet to determine the screw locations. If necessary, drill pilot holes using a 1/8″ bit.
  2. Step 2: Attach the bottom mounting bracket using the provided self-tapping screws.
  3. Step 3: Insert the top mounting bracket into the slots on the back of the control box and rotate the bracket upward.
  4. Step 4: Place the control box onto the bottom mounting bracket. Attach the top bracket with the remaining self-tapping screws.
  5. Step 5: Plug in the 24 sensors supplied in the remote mounting kit. The new connector will lock into place.
  6. Step 6: Choose which of the two upper knockouts on the sides of the control box will be used for the sensor. Remove the knockout.
  7. Step 7: Install the plastic grommet in the knockout hole.
  8. Step 8: From inside the box, feed the thermistor end of the sensor wire through the plastic grommet to the well.
  9. Step 9: Insert the sensor all the way into the well. Install the rubber well cap onto the sensor wire and slide it to cover the end of the well. Install the grounding screw onto the well.
  10. Step 10: Using the included 30 green wires, connect the Electro-Well ground screw to the green ground screw found in the Hydrostat control.

After completing these steps, proceed with wiring and settings as described in the instructions for the HydroStat control.

We warrant products manufactured by Hydrolevel Company to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of manufacture or one year from the date of installation, whichever occurs first. In the event of any claim under this warranty or otherwise, with respect to our products which are made within such period, we will, at our option, repair or replace such products or refund the purchase price paid to us by you for such products. In no event shall Hydrolevel Company be liable for any other loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential. This warranty is your exclusive remedy and shall be in place of any other warranty or guarantee, express or implied, including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This warranty may not be assigned or transferred and any unauthorized transfer or assignment thereof shall be void and of no force or effect.

WARNING
Electrical shock hazard. To prevent electrical shock, death, or equipment damage, disconnect the power supply before installing or servicing the control. Only qualified personnel may install or service this control in accordance with local codes and ordinances. Read instructions completely before proceeding.

CAUTION
To prevent serious burns, the boiler should be thoroughly cooled before installing or servicing control.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  • STEP 1 Select the desired location for mounting the control. Use the template on the back of this sheet to determine the screw locations. Drill pilot holes using 1/8″ bit, if necessary.
  • STEP 2 Attach the bottom mounting bracket using the self-tap-ping screws provided (Figure 1).

  • STEP 4 Place the control box onto the bottom mounting bracket. Attach the top bracket with the remaining self-tapping screws (Figure 3).HYDROLEVEL-48-107-HydroStat-Remote-Mounting-Kit-fig- \(3\)
  • STEP 5 Plug in the 24″ sensor supplied in the remote mounting kit. The new connector will lock into place (Figure 4).
  • STEP 6 Choose which of the two upper knockouts on the sides of the control box will be used for the sensor. Remove the knockout.
  • STEP 7 Install the plastic grommet in the knockout hole.
  • STEP 8 From inside the box, feed the thermistor end of the sensor wire through the plastic grommet to the well (Figure 5).
  • STEP 9 Insert sensor all the way into well (well not included with this kit). Install rubber well cap onto sensor wire and slide to cover the end of well. Install a grounding screw onto the well (Figure 6).HYDROLEVEL-48-107-HydroStat-Remote-Mounting-Kit-fig- \(6\)
  • STEP 10 Using the included 30″ green wire, connect the Electro-Well ground screw to the green ground screw found in the Hydrostat (Figure 7). Proceed with WIRING and SETTINGS as described in the instructions for the HydroStat control.
