Product Information

The wire harnesses mentioned in this user manual are designed for use with the Safeguard Model 1100 low water cut-off. They are available separately or can be ordered together with the low water cut-off. The wire harnesses are compatible with various boiler models from different manufacturers.

Product Usage Instructions

45-347 Wire Harness – Honeywell

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the External Limit P3 port on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug the female plug adapter on the #45-347 Wire Harness into the disconnected wire harness.
  3. Plug the male adapter on the #45-347 Wire Harness into the External Limit P3 port on the Integrated Control Module.
  4. Connect the other end of the Wire Harness to the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

45-348 Wire Harness – United Technologies and Honeywell

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the SECONDARY port on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug the female plug adapter on the #45-348 Wire Harness into the disconnected wire harness.
  3. Plug the male adapter on the #45-348 Wire Harness into the SECONDARY port on the Integrated Control Module.
  4. Connect the other end of the Wire Harness to the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

45-349 Wire Harness – Weil McLain and Lochinvar

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the SECONDARY port on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug the female plug adapter on the #45-349 Wire Harness into the disconnected wire harness.
  3. Connect the other end of the Wire Harness to the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

Note : For Lochinvar boilers manufactured before 2007, it may be necessary to ground the Lochinvar low-voltage wiring panel for proper operation of the low water cut-off. To do this, connect a  wire from the GND terminal on the wiring panel to the green ground screw in the low-voltage junction box.

45-350 Wire Harness

  1. Remove the low water cut-off Molex jumper located within the boiler limit wiring.
  2. Plug in the Safgard Wire Harness.
  3. Connect the other end of the Wire Harness to the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

45-353 Wire Harness – United Technologies and Honeywell

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the DAMPER port on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug the female plug adapter on the #45-353 Wire Harness into the disconnected wire harness.

Note : This Wire Harness is not suitable for use with induced draft boilers.

Wire Harness Instructions

#45-347 Wire Harness
For boilers equipped with Burnham – PVG, Series 2; New Yorker CG-D

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the External Limit P3 port A on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug into the female plug adapter on #45-347 Wire Harness.
  3.  Plug the male adapter on #45-347 Wire Harness into the External Limit P3 port A on the Integrated Control Module.
  4. Plug the other end of the Wire Harness into the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

#45-348 Wire Harness
For boilers equipped with United Technologies Integrated Boiler Control Module or Honeywell Integrated Boiler Control Module

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the “SECONDARY” port A on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug into the female plug adapter on #45-348 Wire Harness.
  3. Plug the male adapter on #45-348 Wire Harness into “SECONDARY” port A  on the Integrated Control Module.
  4. Plug the other end of the Wire Harness into the Model 1100 low water cut-off.

#45-349 Wire Harness
For boilers equipped with Weil McLain “U” Control or Lochinvar Knight and Solution Boilers

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the “SECONDARY” port A on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug into the female plug adapter on #45-348 Wire Harness.
  3. Plug the other end of the Wire Harness into the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

NOTE : On Lochinvar boilers manufactured before 2007, it may be necessary to ground the Lochinvar low voltage wiring panel for proper operation of the low water cut-off. To do this, connect a wire from the GND terminal on the wiring panel to the green ground screw in the low-voltage junction box.

#45-350 Wire Harness
For boilers equipped with LWCO Molex – Burnham Model SCG, PVG, and Alpine (refer to Burnham installation instructions for the exact location of jumper)

  1. Remove the low water cut-off Molex jumper located within the boiler limit wiring and plug in the Safgard Wire
  2. Plug the other end of the Wire Harness into the Model 1100 low-water cut-

#45-353 Wire Harness
For atmospheric boilers equipped with United Technologies Integrated Boiler Control Module or Honeywell Integrated Boiler Control Module.
NOTE : Not for use with induced draft boilers.

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from the “DAMPER” port A  on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug into the female plug adapter on #45-353 Wire Harness.
  3. Plug the male adapter on #45-353 Wire Harness into “DAMPER” port A on the Integrated Control Module.
  4. Plug the other end of the Wire Harness into the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

#45-354 Wire Harness
For Weil-McLain CGA, CGI and Williamson GWA, GWI with UTEC integrated control module.

  1. Disconnect the boiler wire harness from port A on the Integrated Control Module.
  2. Plug into the female plug adapter on #45-354 Wire Harness.
  3. Plug the male adapter on #45-354 Wire Harness into port A on the Integrated Control Module.
  4. Plug the other end of the Wire Harness into the Model 1100 low-water cut-off.

We warrant products manufactured by Hydrolevel Company to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of manufacture or one year from the date of installation, whichever occurs first.
