The Vega Professional Pro Cut hair clipper is ideal for haircuts and beard trimming. The attachment combs can be changed depending upon short, medium and long hair lengths

Please note it is important to read this User Manual for all the safety instructions before using your VEGA hair clipper appliance and save it for future reference or for any new user. Do not use the appliance if you do not understand or cannot read any instruction, direction, information, caution and warning given in this User Manual. The safety instructions explained in this User Manual help you to use the VEGA hair clipper appliance safely and correctly and also to prevent you from injuring yourself or others.

Caution

• Never submerge the hair clipper in water or any other liquid.
• Keep away from children.
• Hair clipper may become warm during operation.
• When using, do not hold the cord, in order to prevent possible harm .
• Do not tamper with the moving parts.
• Clean the hair clipper using only a damp cloth, never use a caustic solution.
• Check that the blades are not damaged or deformed before use.
• Terminate the usage when there is abnormality or failure.
• Do not disassemble the appliance. Take it to a Vega service person when service or repair is required.

• Always keep the hair clipper dry.
• Keep this appliance out of the reach of children and infant.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children and infant) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given proper supervision and instruction concerning the use of this appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be instructed and supervised to ensure that they do not touch or play with this appliance.
• Do not use this appliance near water or any other liquid.
• Never reach for any electrical appliance that has fallen into water or any other liquid. Immediately switch off the power supply at the main breaker and then unplug.
• Do not attempt to re-use the appliance if it has been submerged in water or any other liquid.
• Do not use this appliance near flammable substances such as benzene, aerosol cans, spray products or any other toiletries.
• To avoid any kind of damage to property, never leave this appliance unattended while it is turned on.
• Always unplug the appliance after use at the electrical socket if using with cord. This is important as even if the appliance is switched off, the electrical current still reaches the device.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
• Do not use any attachment/s or accessory/ies or part/s of any other manufacturer or any equipment that VEGA does not recommend.
• Do not use an extension cord to operate this appliance.
• Always inspect the appliance before use, pay attention to the condition of the cord, plug and blade.
• Do not use the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or blade.
• Do not use if the appliance has been dropped, left outdoors, submerged in water or if it is not working according to instructions.
• Do not use the appliance if it is not working properly or smells of burning. Stop using the appliance immediately.
• Avoid using thinner, benzene, or any other solvent to clean the appliance.
• We do not accept any responsibility for damage of the appliance, person/s, or other item/s caused by misuse, abuse or non compliance with the instructions mentioned in this User Manual.

HOW TO USE

1. Oil blade set before use.
2. Plug power cord into an outlet at the correct voltage.
3. Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch and, after use, switch it off again.

Note: The audible click that can sometimes be heard when switching the equipment on, is a result of the drive unit switching on. This is completely normal.

Adjusting the Power – Power Screw
To adjust the power, turn the power screw in a clockwise direction until the appliance makes a noise caused by the armature hitting the coil. Then, slowly turn power screw out (counter-clockwise) just until noise stops. This is maximum power.

HOW TO CHANGE THE BLADES:

Switch off the clipper and disconnect from the mains.
Unscrew both screws on the cutting set, remove the bottom blade and top blade.(Refer fig.1)
When assembling, the bottom blade and top blade should be aligned as follows

1. Raise cutting-length adjustment lever to the shortest cutting length.
2. The distance between the front edge of the bottom blade and the front edge of the top blade should be between 0.8mm and 1.5mm. (Refer fig.2)
3. The bottom blade and the top blade should be parallel to each other.
4. The first tooth of the top blade (from the left) must cover the first tooth of the bottom blade. (Refer fig.2)
5. The outermost tooth of the top blade (on the right) must touch the outermost large tooth of the bottom blade (on the right). (Refer fig.2)

HOW TO ADJUST THE CUTTING-LENGTH:

1. Using the blade lever: The cutting length can be easily adjusted even during operation. When the lever is in the uppermost position the blades will give the closest cut. Pushing the lever downward gradually increases the cutting length.
2. Using the attachment combs: Depending on the desired haircut, the clipper can be operated with or without an attachment comb.

Tips

• The hair to be cut must be clean.
• Before operation, the cutting head should be oiled.
• Special care is required while using the appliance close to the ear and face.
• Use the hanging loop for easy storage.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Make sure the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the mains.
• Remove the trimming comb.
• Put a drop of oil on blades for lubrication.
• Use the cleaning brush included to remove any residual hair from the cutting head.
• Do not clean the cutting head with water or any other fluid.

Environment
To protect the environment, don’t discard the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life. You can discard the appliance at an official collection point of recycling if any. By doing this, you can help to preserve the environment and also some materials can be recycled or recovered in this way.
