System Design – Passive,/Active

TYPICAL “BHAMPED” SYSTEM USING PASSIVE CROSSOVERS The CVMPCLI.0 comes with a special 12dB per octove crossover. It is HIGHLY recommended thot this be used ot ALL fimes- UNLESS you are using an active crosssover set at above 4ktz. This system, shown is “BiAmped, but not ‘Fully” octive. Front channels of this 4 chanel amplifier are driving the mid bass drivers. Rear channel are driving the tweetes. Ihe mid boss is shown with a 0.ImH inductor in series to cross over the midbass to 6Khz with a 6dB roloff. This setup makes it easier to adjust level of ths midbass versus the tweeter.

System Design- Fully Active

TYPICAL “FULLY ACTIVE” SYSTEM The CVMPCLI.0 horn tweeters and Midbass drivers can be run in multiple pairs. It is HIGHLY recommended to Use some kind of EQ/processor. IF you plan on doing ALL active setup.seriously think about purchasing a DSP processor. Using a DSP processor makes CVMPO High Output Mid set to 70Hz
it much easier to control and fine your system.

Installation

Instaling the Speckers Your new Carwin Vega HMobile saries speakers were designed with the flaxibility to be installed in multiple Iocations. Howver, to ensure the best paríormanca possible, it is important to isolata the front sound waoves of the speaker from its rear sound waves. This is done by seauraly mounting the speaker to a flat surface known 5 a batile. AMake sure to seal the speaker to ensure there are no air leaks around its from. Selecting a Location Since these are “Pro Drivers” we know the likelyhood of mounting in stock locations is prety nonexistaont. This means bask avdio concepts should be thought of when instaling. H instaling muliple midbass or weeter divers it is ALMWAYS best to mount in vertical rows. This gives the best verical and horizonatol dispersion charteristics of the divers. Venting for porting) is not necesary. Huliple micbass drivers should be used to every single hom driver (hom tweeters tend to be 10d8 louder than the mids). Tweeter Diaphram replacement

The Cerwin Yega Mobile CVMPCLI.0 and CVMPCI4.0 twecter dhaphram can be reploced. But you must be very carehul doing it. The port nunmber is CVMPCL4.0TD for the 4 inch lweter, and CYMPLI.0TD for the 1 inch tweeter. Below is u cutway drawing to show you how it is done. More detailed instructions come with the repacemet diaphram on how to replace.
