General Safety Information for Amplifier

  • During installation, protective clothing should be worn and equipment used at all times (especially head protection, gloves and safety shoes) and only suitable lifting equipment (ladders, scaffolding) should be used. The responsibility for this lies solely with the installer.

ATTENTION!
After installation, the mounting system and the amplifiers must be checked for a secure hold. The operator of the amplifier systems (fixed or mobile) is obligated to check or to have checked all system components on a regular basis, taking into account the respective national regulations and to immediately eliminate potential damage. Furthermore, we strongly recommend detailed documentation of all control measures.
Wind loads, snow and ice loads as well as thermal effects are to be taken into account for the stability and viability of amplifier systems which are permanently, or for long periods of time, located outdoors as well as the structures and surfaces. In particular, the load-bearing points of flown systems should be dimensioned as too allow for sufficient safety reserves. In this case, national regulations are always to be followed.

  • Please consult the manufacturer to see if your amplifiers are suitable for outdoor use.

Professional amplifier systems are capable of producing sound levels high enough to cause hearing damage. Even exposure to seemingly mild and harmless sound levels over prolonged periods of time can cause permanent hearing damage (from 95 dBA SPL)! Therefore we recommend that anyone who is exposed to high sound levels to wear professional hearing protection (ear plugs or capsule headsets).

  • 1 Masse
  • 2 Signal (+)
  • 3 Signal (-)
  • Mono Symmetrical Jack
  • Peak Signal (+)
  • Ring Signal (-)
  • Schaft Masse

Possible operating modes

Stereo

  • Both output stage channels operate independently of each other, each input (A and B) is amplified by one channel, and loudspeakers are connected to both power amplifier channels.
  • The volume for both outputs can be controlled separately.

Parallel

  • Both power amplifier channels amplify the signal from input A to both power amplifier channels, speakers are connected. The control for channel A is used to control the volume.

Bridged

  • Both output stage channels are internally connected in such a way that double the output power is available. Only the signal from input A is amplified, speakers are only connected to the correspondingly marked output.
  • The volume control for channel A is used to adjust the volume.
  • At each output of the amplifier, the total impedance resulting from the individual impedances of the connected loudspeakers must under no circumstances fall below the permissible minimum impedance of the amplifier output.
  • If you want to connect several speakers to one amplifier output, note the following:
  • When the loudspeakers are connected in parallel, the inverse of the total impedance is equal to the sum of the inverse values of the individual impedances. This means, for example, with two loudspeakers with the same impedance: in series connection the impedance doubles, in a parallel connection, it is halved.

Connections and Control Elements

  • Settings resolution: 0 to +/-10dB in 0.5dB steps, outside in 1dB steps.

LowCut:

  • The use of a limiter for full-range applications requires sometimes keeping the low frequencies away from the peak detection circuit. LowCut indicates the corner frequency of an adjustable high pass filter with 12dB/oct. It can be switched off or adjusted from 60 to 1000Hz. Settings resolution: 60-100Hz in 5Hz steps, 100-300Hz in 10Hz steps, 300-1000Hz in 25Hz steps.

Driver Delay Menu
The Driver Delay improves accuracy of multiple loudspeaker systems (Time- Align). 4 selectable units allow precise and flexible adjustments of the distances in meter, feet, time and number of samples @ 48kHz (1 sample = 20.83us or 7.146 mm).

Delay:

  • Switches the driver delay on and off. This action is executed immediately and immediately audible. Meter: [m], Samples:, Feet: [ft] and Time: [ms]
  • These units change their values based on increments/decrements of samples @ 48kHz because it is the smallest and most precise unit for short delays.
  • The range is adjustable from 1 – 480 samples, 0.007 – 3.43m, 0.02 – 11.3ft, 0.02 – 10.
