SAMSUNG EF-DX900 Book Cover Keyboard

Product Information

The Book Cover Keyboard is a compatible accessory for your tablet. It features a keyboard, touchpad, and S Pen cover, providing a convenient and efficient way to use your tablet for productivity tasks.

Device Layout:

The Book Cover Keyboard consists of the following components:

Stand cover: Provides protection for your tablet and serves as a stand.
SPen cover: Holds and protects the S Pen.
Camera hole: Allows access to the tablet’s camera.
Keyboard: Contains the keys for typing.
Connector: Connects the keyboard to the tablet.
Stand Magnetic pad: Helps secure the tablet in place when using the stand.
Keys: Used for typing input on the keyboard.
Touchpad: Allows cursor control and additional features.

Product Usage Instructions

Attaching the Keyboard:

Check the location of the camera and camera hole on your tablet.
Align each corner of the S Pen cover with the tablet.
Attach the S Pen cover first, and then press down the rest of the stand cover.
Line up the connectors of the tablet and the keyboard.
Attach the keyboard to the tablet. The keyboard can be used instantly.

Adjusting the Tablet Angle: You can adjust the tablet angle using the stand cover. Flip out and adjust the stand until you find the desired angle. Ensure that the tablet is stable and not adjusted too low to prevent the stand from falling over.

Using the Keyboard: Prior to using the keyboard, set the input language on your tablet. Refer to the tablet’s user manual for instructions on setting the input language. The keyboard features various keys, including A, B, APP1, APP2, APP3, X, C, D, E, and F. For more information about using Samsung DeX with the keyboard, refer to the tablet’s user manual.

Using the Touchpad:

The touchpad on the keyboard allows you to control the cursor on the tablet screen and use additional features. Here are some actions you can perform with the touchpad:

Clicking/Tapping
Dragging
Holding and dragging
Tapping with two fingers
Dragging with two fingers
Spreading/Pinching
Dragging up/down with three fingers
Dragging left/right with three fingers
Tapping with three fingers

Storing the S Pen:

Attach the S Pen to the tablet, ensuring that the nib of the S Pen faces the camera.
Cover the S Pen with the S Pen cover.

EF-DX900 is optimized to connect with the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra 5G.

Using the keyboard

Attaching the keyboard

Check the location of the camera and the camera hole, and then align each corner of the S Pen cover with the tablet.
Attach the S Pen cover first, and then press down the rest part of the stand cover.
Line up the connectors of the tablet and the keyboard, and then attach the keyboard to the tablet. You can use the keyboard instantly.
- Do not apply excessive pressure on the keyboard while covering the tablet’s screen. Doing so may cause screen damage.
- If the tablet and the keyboard connectors are dirty, the keyboard may not be recognised or work properly.
- While moving to another place with the device, close the keyboard. If you move while the keyboard is opened, it may separate and be damaged.
- Use the product on a flat surface.
- You can use the keyboard as a screen cover. The screen turns off when you cover it with the keyboard, and it turns on when you open the keyboard.

Adjusting the tablet angle
You can adjust the tablet angle with the stand cover. Flip out and adjust the stand until you find the desired angle.

Do not tilt the stand cover excessively. Doing so may cause damage to the hinge.
Do not apply pressure to the tablet’s screen while the angle of the stand cover is adjusted low. Doing so may cause the stand to fall over.

Using the keys

Set the input language on the tablet before you use the keyboard. For more information about setting the input language, refer to the tablet’s user manual.
For more information about Samsung DeX, refer to the tablet’s user manual.

Using the touchpad

You can use the touchpad to control the cursor on the tablet screen or use the additional features.

Holding and dragging	• Move the selected object.
Tapping with two fingers	• Open the context menu.
Dragging with two fingers	• Scroll the page.
Spreading/Pinching	• Zoom in / Zoom out
Dragging up/down with three fingers	• Recents/Home
Dragging left/right with three fingers	• Switch between apps.
Tapping with three fingers	• Back

Storing the S Pen

Attach the S Pen to the tablet as shown in the image below.
- Make sure to place the nib of the S Pen to face the camera. The S Pen will not charge if it is misplaced.
Cover the S Pen with the S Pen cover.
